House at 1:32 with the white gate is where I was born and grew up until I moved to Exchange in 2001. Its a shame the landlord let it run to the ground like that. The little shop with with the twigs on it used to be the landlady's and she passed (Her nephew the new landlord ) took over and after we moved this is what it came to.
My Great Grandmother was from Oracabessa and I have been up that side when Usher and Buster Rhymes etc did a show at James Bond Beach. It's a nice place.
I enjoyed your video. I am originally from Port Maria, St Mary which is approximately 8 miles east of Oracabessa. The name Oracabessa is Spanish and means 'Golden Head' in English.
Everything is so lush and green with nice roads with no potholes. The heart of Oracabessa seems to be where the action is. I like the Goldeneye Hotel. Very sweet place and seems like nice area to live. TFTT,JI.
I was there in the early nineties twice. I was 10 and 13 . By 13 i had already just started smokin. But my mom didn't stay in tourist hotel. She had a friend. Most of the time I just ran around w the Jamaican boys. Those experiences changed who I am and I will never forget this place. I'm not joking when I tell you we went to the bounty killa concert etc. No tourists. It felt like another universe not another country. I'm gonna be 40. My good friend is a Rasta here I'm FL. He happens to have mountain land. I'm considering selling everything to be able to be up there. I want out of Babylon USA. I wish the ppl of Jamaica that think America has something for them could realize they have a paradise that most Americans would give up in a second.
Is New Kingston the only town in Jamaica with nice shops where returnees or those of us born in the UK would feel at home? The shops in St. Ann's Bay looked run down as well.
A pleasant good morning to you jamaica 🇯🇲insider. Happy Sunday. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful and blessed day 🙏✨😊. Safe travels on the roads 🙏. To and back 😀. I love this town. It is so nice. Well developed. Nice roads.
Wow thank you for this tour..my Great Grandmother was born there in St Mary's town. I've never been and would love to visit...and her husband was born in Manville Manchester.
THIS IS ORACABESSA ST. MARY JAMAICA. Oracabessa is a beautiful parish with a lots of land. The roads are so beautiful and clean. The town of oracabessa needs to have more developments, and more mordern buildings.I know if if the people of St. mary invest more in their parish, it will draws visitors attention to visits or to lived.
Thanks for taking us thru Oracabessa. It is a lovely place, and I had spent about a week there in 93. I don't remember exactly where, but it wasn't far from the police station, on a cliff overlooking the beach. It was breathtakingly beautiful especially at sunset. Thanks again.
@@thisgame2 At the time it was just a wooded area near the water; however I was recently informed that it became James Bond Beach, which I visited in 2004.

Seperate and Apart from the Natural beauty that St Mary exudes, I am particularly distressed that this video certainly have squandered a great opportunity to showcase "Oracabessa".... that once Historic Famous & Beloved seaport town connecting Port Maria-East & Ocho Rios -West. and the entire Noth Coast corridor. Pls seek to Re: do this video as you missed at least 25-30 very very important historic & scenic points of interest to your turn around. Stay encourage and continue to PRACTICE your craft......."ORACABESSA"; HOME OF THE JAMES BOND FAME!!!!!!.

If you have a few dollars to purchase land and a small house in st Mary, you'll be very content. Presently searching for land there.
@Ezigoing not a bad idea. St. Mary is nice place to live
I would live in this town. There are some nice houses 🏘️👌

That place you stayed may have been a community called Colouraine, in Oracabessa. Lovey view from up there.
@@orleypowell5018 Nice community.
What kinds of people live in this neighborhood, the roads look good.
Not enough commentary.
From highgate

Isn't Oracabessa , Ocho Rios too
@00:20 what construction project is that behind the scene?
They have St Mary has the poorest parish, but it looks orderly , waaay more developed than St Thomas and Clarendon.
What vehicle are you using for these tours
Top secret haha. Thanks for watching
The video is cloudy. Switch to 4k. Great video still..
Thanks for the tip but it was a cloudy day
Honestly,I think the entire Jamaica is sleeping on St Mary./The proximity to Ocho Rios ,gives the 'St Ann-- ST Mary border side , a bit of opulence.
Shhh don’t talk so loud haha
Up
Way up
