2004 ford ranger 3.0 manual I was driving with the temp dial at the middle and the blower on the lowest setting to the face and feet Started hearing this ticking noise got home and popped the hood I didn’t even know what was wrong but luckily this ac compresor is right on top watched it and I seen it disengage luckily I ran into this video turned the temp to hot turned the dial to the face setting an I instantly heard a release of gas watched it some and clutch doesn’t disengage anymore Basically I likes to blow super cold ac crank that puppy on full blast if you want that noise to stop going off
Nice info and thanks soo much. Mine on a bmw e46 is confusing me. So on the lowest setting it will do the short cycle and when I increase to say 3 or 4 I could wait forever without seeing it go off and on. Is this how it should work. Also when this happens and I turn it back to the lowest setting the short cycle still doesn't happen
At 1:33 can't understand what is defective. Blower motor? Subtitles say blower model.

Is this a statement or question?

Excellent video brother
How long should an AC clutch be engaged before it disengages. I live in a year round hot climate
Ahh yes so my GM with manual fan clutch wire harness failure is causing this thanks brother

If the system is not healthy enough it will not short cycle even at the lowest speed
