Still magical after all those years. I can not recall how often I have played their records, In a way I felt like the Trees are growing\going back to their roots. May the musical winds always move their branches!!!!
AATT ages like tawny port. I've grown up with them and can mark the seasons of my life by their album releases. They're my closest friends, but we've never met.
At 53.. just found this amazing band. For two weeks long, every day it is playing through my speakers. The voice & texts, the recognizable guitars, drums.. how is it possible that I had never heard of them ? I love it ❤.
What a magnificent album! I heard about "And Also The Trees" for the first time recently, and was immediately mesmerised by their beautiful lyrics and unique sound. Their entire discography is absolutely brilliant ♥️✨️
Wonderful, thanks much. The slow pulse boys remain a musical constant of outstanding beauty. Since - The Millpond Years - every new album release is some sort of homecoming for me, so is - The Bone Carver- also. I am excited seeing them again on stage next week in Essen...
Three things important and touching in my opinion: First, the music itself. The familiar guitar, the voice, the pictures coming to my mind based on the lyrics. Second, the sheer fact that the band is still around. So assuring to know that the band is out there somewhere and hasn't ceased to produce music. Third, the comments. As we all feel the vaguely same: having a companion for several years, awaiting a new album ("homecoming"; "seasons of my life"; "close friends"; "journey"; "meeting a first love"). This holds for most of us. The albums have been support throughout my life. I remember asking for the "new album" (Green is the sea) for months at my favorite record store. No internet, no reliable information, just repeatedly asking, and then, one day, getting the CD handed over the counter, carefully carrying it home. The first few seconds of Red Valentino, so shrill, and then there is this warm carpet of the music ("... and the veils of rain on my face"). Yes, homecoming, every new album. Thanks, guys!
I remember there was a period in my life of a serious crisis and I could find no meaning even in music. It was exactly then that I bought "Green Is The Sea". It was the third album I had managed to find in my country from AATT, and as it started growing inside me I had a smooth feeling of healing for days, seeing some kind of light again. I love all their albums, but this one has always been my exit from everything toxic, since then...
Over the years i always loved me some AATT, but maybe because i am stuck music wise, my favorite bands did not change that much since the end of 1980s, there is just nothing better. Amazing new album, just wonder its not on spotify?

The journey to this point has been uncertain yet beautiful. Happy to be alive to listen to this. x
Thank you very much for your perseverance! And again it is a gorgeous piece of work... It's very worth the whole effort.

This is like a song verse that goes: "Zaspala ko kraljica u zlatu, ustala sa suzama u blatu" westernized. (not in a bad way imo)
lyrics please?
