my database is scopus. I tried combing them into one bib file using notepad. but it gave me this error "error in evaluating the argument 'x' in selecting a method for function 'which': object 'M' not found" how can i fix this?
Hi, thanks for your video. I need merge three databases: Scopus ,WOs and google scholar, however, i can't merge the databases, because the function in R " mergeDBsources" only allow Scopus and WOS, you can help me?
Hi Gary, thank you so much for your videos. Do you know if I can use multiple databases (Google Scholar, Web of Science and my school’s library database) in R or VoSViewer?
when I change the file extension to bib, windows didn't ask me anything. Also, when I highlight the files and right click I didn't get an option to edit!
@@GaryEckstein yes they open with notepad. Thank you. do you have any videos on how to combine scopus and web of science bib files and eliminate duplicates?
Can we combine the files of Web of Science, Scopus, and some other sources? How can we avoid overlapping (meaning the same article appears in these CSV files)? OR should we do separate analyses from each source of data?
Great work Appreciated plz dive deep on the topic of bibliographic analysis each and every aspect. kindly share your email for correspondence. Regards Dr Khan

Unfortunately I don't know of any software that may be able to help
i tried doing this and my file did not open on R then I exported data on plain text rather than on bibtex and it worked.

You can, but it is very time consuming. You'd need to convert all exported files into the same schema and format using a text editor such as Notepad.
Thank you! It’s quite difficult to do that on Mac. Could you please assist with the steps?
Thanks a ton.

You should be able to open the bib files directly in a text editor.

@@alissaht unfortunately not. This is a very time-consuming and error-prone exercise, unfortunately.
i try combining bibtex from scopus and WoS in biblioshiny, its succesfull but the Cited reference is gone. pls help
Unfortunately the various databases export data in differing BibTeX fields. There is no simple means of rectifying this issue
@@GaryEckstein i see, so i did it manually, convert it all to xlsx file than combine it one by one
