I lost my father on june 2023 as he was suffering from gallbladder adenocarcinoma we have taken treatment approach from you via call and at last we went to Tata hospital and they had given S1 therapy but won't worked.
And My father's cousin brother is also suffered from Larynx cancer (Origin)now he got prostate metastatic .
Is there any chance of getting inherited to me??
Hi. Inherited cancer may be possible, biliary cancer and prostate cancer can occur in BRCA syndrome and also in HNPCC. You should visit a medical oncologist for counselling and genetic testing. Testing will start with your father's cousin, and if he is positive then whole family will need testing.

Genetic test is of two types, we can test the cancer tissue to look for targets or we can test the blood of a patient to look for inherited cancer risk. These are called somatic and germline testing. NGS is a technology which is used to do both kinds of tests.

Lung cancer is very rarely genetic. If there is no other cancer patient in your first and second degree family, I think aapko zyada risk nahi hai
