I have always been confused about that. When the Apple Watch first came out, I don’t remember hearing about series zero or 1, but now I do. I thought I was in the twilight zone.
I got the SE initially because it was at a good price and I’ve never owned an Apple Watch before, so I didn’t know if it would be useful for me. I loved it so much that I returned it and picked the series 6 instead. The lack of always on display bugged me enough to the point where I had to upgrade. It’s much more of a traditional watch being able to glance at your wrist for the time without having to perform the wake gesture or tap the screen. That being said, the SE is still an amazing value, especially if you don’t plan on using it as a watch and more of a fitness tracker.
Got a series 6. I only used the always-on display for about a week before I turned it off along side with the raise to wake feature. They annoyed me more than helped and drained a lot of battery from the watch.
@Goooseychu in my experience the series 4 is no longer sold directly by apple or 3rd party stores, so you might be forced to find one on ebay, etc. No way to get a "new" series 4 to my knowledge. No idea why.
@@judgementgaming3270 It is too similar to the series 5 for apple to continue... same processer components everything apple just has a software for the always-on display
I've got the 38mm Series 1, got it the Christmas the Series 2 came out, still going strong, although I'm thinking of upgrading, mainly for newer and improved features
I got the series 4 when it came out and it is still so perfect and as he said in this video it still keeps up so if you want to get an Apple Watch I can definitely suggest the series 4
The Series 3 seems to be unusual, Apple still has it in their lineup 3 yrs after introduction. With the launch of Series 6 and SE, it would have made sense for Apple to retire the Series 3, but no, they still sell it. It will be interesting to see when they stop software support for Series 3. People who bought Series 3 in late 2017 would have enjoyed a long software support time while people buying Series 3 now or later on are going to be disappointed or maybe even pissed.
never had a apple watch so bought 2 series 1 for me and wife, just to get the feel for them and i really enjoy it,i can receive calls text messages play music reply to texts,i can pretty much do all the essential(which are the most important) with my phone but on a little screen which is my watch, quite honestly they will all do the job, this comes from a 25 yr old guy who loves gadgets and technology

@@jovani9881 So you bought a Series 3 for the same price I paid for a Series 5 (44mm with cellular)? Bruh sounds like you're the one who got "scammed" lol
I wish this new Apple Watch 6 will last as long as my original Apple Watch from June 2015. It still last all day without charging, but my screen begin to fade in the middle and one of the corner. 5 years for this kind of product is really good.
I still have my 44m series 4 and think it’s the best one yet I mean yeah there’s minor improvements on the new 6 but not enough for me to spend £350ish
I have the series 1 and have indeed the medical id, weird that you don't have it anymore. Other than that, nice video, helped me alot to choose a newer apple watch
I have a 7000 series 48mm that works perfectly without any problems. The stainless steel has little light scratches around due to normal wear and tear.
I have gotten an Apple Watch SE this early afternoon. I still have series 1 and 2. I need a big upgrade for this one app that I have on my iPhone and iPod touch. I had a problem with the 1st one was it unpaired to my iPhone almost couple years ago. I bought Apple Watch 2 from Amazon almost couple years ago. It did took awhile to paired to my iPhone 8 before that I got iPhone SE.
Basically series 1 wins because they go for 50$ and do pretty much all of what the others do other than cell data that’s fine :) why waste 200+ for a extra one feature
I do have series 1 and 2 that I bought from Amazon refurbished. Almost 2 years ago that I gotten SE(1) in space grey. Last year that I accidentally dropped it on the bathroom floor. The screen has cracks. I bought SE(2) in silver grey with s/m white watch band. The watch band was a little bit tight on my wrist. Lucky that I took off the watch band from the SE(1). No difference from SE(1) and SE(2) except for the color. Series 1 and 2 are almost the same towards me. I gotten the SE 1 or 2 is this one app for my vehicle. I even liked the price of the SE(2) better.
Actually, the se is lacking a chip that enables Always on Display to function. It is possible, however without the chip, it drains battery fast. So that’s why it isn’t enabled by Apple.
Great comparison for one who looks into buying an older used watch. But you missed one very big element 3 years back and please consider it in your future clips.: For anyone buying an older electronic tool, lividity/interchangeability and possibility of a repair in DIY fashions or pro or not at all, matters as without a working batteries none of these worth a penny. Thanks,
Still rocking my series 1 and I haven’t really seen much of a reason to upgrade. You get 98% of the benefits of the Apple Watch with any series - it’s that 2% that people spend thousands of dollars on.
Very comprehensive comparison!, thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼 I thought series 2 was the first to be water proof, no? That’s why I upgraded from series 1. Now I have series 5, what a difference! I noticed your series 2 had some damage to the underside like mine. I thought it was chlorine that caused my damage but now that I saw yours I think maybe there’s some defect with the material?
My First Gen just died (the button clicks itself to death) while battery and everything else are still fine. Unfortunate. But I've moved on to Redmi Watch 2 Lite lol. It's kinda slow, but super cheap, and has heart rate, blood oxygen, and 10 day battery life. Though, I still miss my Apple Watch though.
