As a Jaejoong fan for 10 or so years, I love to watch things like these and have his voice recognized as it deserves to be 😍♥️ His voice is so unique and beautiful
I love all these singers, grew up on Panic at The Disco, love Brendon, Adam is an incredible singer no doubt it. But I'll never forget the first time I heard Jaejoong's voice. He literally took my breath away and continues to do so. He truly has my favorite voice in the whole world. And any time he's compared to others I can't help but think how he outshines everyone... haha no matter how good those other singers are too.
I know nothig about singing, I just go with my gut when I like an artist, and they all have amazing performances that touched me, I specially thank you for recognizing JJ's work.
this is actually one of the only vocal battles on youtube that display some of brendon's best belts, thank you! most videos go for his highest/fifth octave notes which aren't always technically sound imo. technically, adam wins for me but stylistically, i'm in love with brendon's tone, i just wish he would resonate more :)) i've never heard of jaejoong before, but he sounds amazing too!! edit #10920192: you even put my favorite a4 of his in there!!! 12:48
So sorry smh forgot to respond, my channel is all about vocal technique even though I don't try to explain everything and go balls deep into things so many people doesn't even care about lol....brendon was kinda hard to dig cause I never heard him live and got interested in him before deciding to make this video ,but yeah starting a tenor battle from C5 is just ridiculous... They're men let not forget that 😂. Adam win period not just mix/belt but also head voice wise his low range is also quite surprisingly developed for a tenor who Rather go for the 5th octave always in almost every single song than singing in the A2-E3 range. Brandon isn't just stylistic, he admitted he never go for the technique he just sings, he said it himself 😂 but I decided to put all 3 together just to show how both Adam and Brandon can both show technique maybe not as advanced as real technicians but they have their moments
Without naming people but a certain vocal expert wannabe thought Adam was just average and always throaty so it was another reason to really go full investigation with him
Imho, Brandon sings thru his nose, while Jaejoong and Adam have very clear and open voices. But I prefer Jaejoong's, as it has not only power but also very full emotionally. All three men is very talented and it's a pleasure to listen to them sing.
Brendon biggest issue is throatiness and pushing , jaejoong can sing though his nose quite often too , i just tried to showcase the best of all of the 3 so it their most clean attempts throughout the range
One and only Adam Lambert is the best performer and most technically skilled vocalist I've ever seen. His technique:Breath support, Consistency throughout registers, Endurance, Diction, Register switching, Runs, Register blending, Pitch, Vibrato, Volume control, Power & Range- Projection, Resonance, Use of range, Sustain, Versatility: Technical, Tonal & Stylistic are amazing!
Thank god - a vocal clips that are fair... omg. Adam for a decade singing like that- you gotta give him credit, tour worldwide.XD They're all better than people that "cheat" FYI
We need to investigate, is there a Panic! --> Adam Lambert --> TVXQ pipeline? Also I love the diversity of the clips you chose here. You did your research, lol.
Don't follow Adam for vocals, just career. imo For vocal treat look up his stuff in Hair in theater, Come Bend to Me Brigadoon @22. His control is amazing. He changes his timbre it seems.
I think he lost some of his upper register but he's getting better in the fourth octave (some of his B4s in the last Queen tour sound free), way better than 2016.
@@BAZVOCALS Hmm I feel John Legend's Bb2 sound less strong & rich than some old school Baritone, also many high rank Tenor could have similar quality like his in low note & his belt around E4/F4 too
Using Kpopvocalanalysis’ old rating system, how would Brendon and Adam rank? My guess: Brendon - average to above average / above average, Adam - competent.
brendon would be above average he's not consistent but he has enough development in his low range to be that high but because of his many issues i would say it low above average , Adam would be a high competent
BAZISSINO 94 lol. But seriously? Is he that weak or just not as amazing as ppl think? He sounds at least above average to me, I’m not his fan just casual listener.
BAZISSINO 94 hi, you said Brendon is inconsistent, has many issues and his mix is a mess. Can you elaborate? Because I also think his technique is kinda.....raw. And it’s evident in live perf. Oh, and is he a light or full lyric tenor?

what's Brendon's supported range? I'm pretty sure he has A4 in mix when he's in good health and not being stylistic. Something like A2-A4-G5? He has plenty of great moments in head voice
I forgot what he got down in his lows but that by far his strongest register he definitely has C3s and Bb2s which is surprisingly developed for a Tenor ,his mix is a mess TBH at best he got F#4/G4 you're being too generous by giving him A4 ,his head voice was never supported, you can watch Pamela last battle with Mitch, Zayn and Adam he got just connection sometimes
I do get that he rarely supports these notes in many concerts or loud venues where he really pushes his voice but he has quite a few good moments up to A4 in mix for sure. Even when he is pushing the G#4s and A4s have nice placement. His head voice isnt very pushed except at the extremes, so i don't get why he doesn't support his head voice, like it's fairly relaxed and quite projected, the transitions between mix and headvoice aren't too smooth though. Side note I thought he was a baritone because of his weighty lower register which is better than like 70% of pop baritones out there lol
@@jamielopez1027 Brendon Urie's an lyric tenor. the korean guy is better at resonance. i wonder how brendon and adam's vocal chords could withstand the amount of tension and high larynx happening inside of it.
Where do you hear high larynx ?in what range exactly ?let see first what you mean then we can talk ....Also jaejoong can be overly nasal in some performances ,Adam has a bit more developments not just in belting but in his other 2 registers
But I think it's the other way around. The main thing is the opposite, considering how actual breath support doesn't have much to do with vocal freedom, larynx position etc. as they imply it does. Little unorthodox. In the upper range; Brendon Urie's an lyric tenor. He can belt up to Bb4 comfortable, even a D5 in heavy mix: ua-cam.com/video/08CNAY4wFxU/v-deo.htmlm21s And yet still manage to mix up to A5: ua-cam.com/video/YbuXGWc9k1o/v-deo.htmlm20s While Adam Lambert, can also mix up to B5. And having no trouble stay resonant around those notes (F5/F#5). He's literally the best out there. m.ua-cam.com/video/mADJRgPWtTE/v-deo.htmlm45s As for low notes Brendon can stay resonant until F#2, quite impressive for a tenor. Adam low notes below B2/Bb2 show an excessive unnecessary use of airiness and become hard to hear. Idk about Jaejoong
What they usually call 'resonant' is just a clear, steady sound with an open vowel and usually with a mediocre audio quality in the clip which makes it seem like there's some ring.
@@BAZVOCALS brendon F#4 in mix? That’s very average for a tenor but a very impressive lower register. Is he AA? Also, if he was a baritone, would he be proficient?
