I had a friend who wanted to record music in the woods, and i always said he was crazy. He passed away, and I regret never doing that with him.

I have a 500 watt Jackery lithium battery camping/apartment style generator which came in real handy while living in California every time PG&E would cut the power due to fires. I was able to charge my phone, power a lamp, a laptop and a few other small items...so now seeing your forest rig gave me some ideas ! Thanks very much Bill !

I use two 12V CCTV camera batteries with a cable to reverse the polarity because I don't want to have extension cords around in my basement. I like to use them to power a couple pedals or a multifx unit, Joyo's lunchbox style 5150 clone and an audio exciter as the cabinet so I can experiment with using random things as a speaker. The batteries fit in my pocket so they're very convenient to carry around.

Fun fact... For lighting directors and guitarists. Do this on stage, you massively avoid un wanted ground loop hum... you just need to figure out the power required to get through a gig. 🤘 also you dont have to hunt for an outlet or put your trust in shoddy electrical outlets that shut off randkmly during your set. 🤘

@@chordsoforion Credit where it's due, my friends band rocked up to the vnue I worked at and pulled out four jackery's and set them on stage. The light bulb went off for me, and I immediately purchased one that could handle all the power for 9 hours of lighting, the sound engineers looked at me like I was crazy. They turned on the PA and utter silence, I got a hug as a result haha.
I love this, very inspiring. A small suggestion: perhaps it could be a nice touch to blend in a tiny amount of 'outdoor sounds' like the wind and birds etc. You could record that with that Zoom recorder, for instance?

I have several powerstations like that. You should really look at getting a solar panel for it too. They're dirt cheap, matey! We charge one off solar and use it as our primary source to charge phones, vacuums, anything usb. I have a big 3kwh one that runs a fridge-freezer out in a shed.

I have done similar things, but I used no loudspeakers but headphones because i do not want to disturb the peace of nature and scare away the animals. Beyerdynamik DT 990 are great headphones for this, because they are open and let also hear you the nature around. So I can make my music together with bees and birds. Moreover with less equipment I do not need a car and could ride by bike just with my guitar and a battery powered pedalboard.

Love playing my acoustic in the woods. Especially during spring when the birds are out. No bugs or humidity.
I have black star v3 stereo speaker pack with a zoom cdr 70 with Allan chorus delay style programmed in. The whole set up fits in the accessory pouch on my gig bag. 10 AA batteries give about 6 hours of sound. Great for the park or parties, or subway.

I know it's not guitar related, but can you jump a small car or motorcycle battery with the Bluetti? Would love to get something like this regardless for doing portable music. Looks like a better solution than the marine battery and sine wave AC converter rig that a lot of buskers use.
