i think ur info is incorrect u can change plans only when ur current plan validity has expired like if u have 6months plan u can change to other plan if the existing 6month plan expires

There is one major difference, Jio Fiber has 3300 GB FUP, Jio Air Fiber has only 1000 GB FUP.
In case of Airtel, both their fiber and airfiber services have 3333 GB of FUP. Airtel air fiber is hugely better in terms of FUP.

Is the outdoor unit powered from our home or common power connection in apartments?Bcoz if others are also using it from the outdoor it would be a problem
I got huge bill with act fiber. Later they said they will give 100 Rs per month and even that they did not give. We removed the entire box from our house. Then under special consideration they gave separate box only for us. Make sure only to your house you get connection
This thing is designed for those areas which don't have the optical fiber network. Then I don't understand the logic behind launching it exclusively for metro cities first. Jio 5G is very widely available even in villages, they need to add more locations to this air fiber, basically it's nothing but a 5G hotspot device after all.
It will roll out throughout India.

Its true that the 5g services are widely available in villages as well. But as of now Jio is providing it free of cost as it is in testing mode. Once the test period is over and 5g will roll out commercially (april 2024) then you will get to know the real trick of JIO.
You’re wrong, it doesn’t work on the same 5g network! They need to install a separate layer of network for Airfiber! That’s why it’s taking so long!
Here’s from the Jio president:
“We have created two lanes in our 5G highway,” says Thomas, “one dedicated for the home rollout AirFiber and one still continuing to serve our 5G mobile customers with the best network anywhere in the world.”
I'm using Jio 5G Sim without any extra charges which is unlimited free with speed up to 750 Mbps in my village Punjab.

As the fiber provides the ott apps,now can I use those ott apps on other devices? For example: I can connect upto 4 devices in a normal Disney+ hoster but can I do the same with the jio airfiber provided services or is it limited to that one particular device?
You can use 3 devices simultaneously. With jio air fibre
How does Air fiber work in rainy season? Because it's same like dish tv. Is there any fluctuations in rainy season? And if we have to install it for own seperate house do they charge for outdoor units ?

Outdoor unit you have shared is for buildings upto 7 floors. For buildings above 7, they are installing Dish Antena. If you want I can share picture of dish they have installed in my building for my connection.

Reality mai btata hu. >> Agar Tv normal TATA SKY HD ke jaise 1080p me dekhna chahte hain to other phone & PC devices ko chalane ke liye 100-mbps ka speed kam hai. TV continuosly data khati hai TV me loading/Buffering irritate kregi apko.
Mere ghar 40 mbps ka optical-fiber hai, eksath 1080p only 1 devices me best chal paygi baki me bufffering start ho jaygi. So TV wala chiz bhul jao.
TATA sky HD is better choice for TV.
and agar apke area me normal optic-fiber hai to Air-fiber bekar hai apke liye.
jada paise me kam speed.
Its only good for outer area or village area jaha fiber available nahi hai.
2nd >> koi agar aisa sochta hai ki 300 rs ki DTH recharge ke bajay 100 mbps wala connection le leta hu. Par fir bhi 100mbps is slow for TV atleast 200 mbps is require to run TV smoothly.
also DTH interface is easy-peasy where Jio fiber settop box requires a lil bit knowledge (technology-familiar) to get used to it.
You missed 1 important point. landline phone connection and jio join aplication not working with jioAirfiber.

wired fiber internet in small town is very unreliable, my bsnl fibre see frequent down time. Iam very hopefull that these airfiber will bring stable internet. waiting to launch in my area. one point to note that power consumption is more in this device i.e almost 40watt/hr means 1kw per day,if router working 24x7 then at rate of 6rs/unit monthly amount of 180rs ...well its even better than frequent down internet like bsnl,iam totally fraustated with.

Internet speed greatly depends on the signal strength. May not be stable all the time. Wired internet is more reliable and stable.

What will happen if you receive a connection from a common splitter box at rooftop and the original owner switches-off his adapter power. Hope all 07 splitter connections provide concurrent power on its RJ45 wire .
Then it will show DG alarm on that particular owner connection & other 6 user will not be affected.
if you have fiber optic get fiber optic. Better to invest in a good UPS to keep internet running instead of getting air-fiber. But if you do not have airtel/Jio Fiber then go for AirFiber.
I have option for Airtel Fiber or Jio AirFiber (no jio fibre). Which one should I choose? One intresting point is the Jio tv set top box. That's one reason I'm leaning towards it

i have installed jio fibre 4 days ago. I have a normal LED TV, still jio fibre works fine with it. 30 MBPS is good for area near the router but range is not much good.

No one is mentioning about power supply to the out dore unit, if there is no power, Device won't work. We need inverter/generator setup to work when no power. We can't use any power adaptor to make it work.

Jio join app doesn't work. So basically the fixed landline number they give is useless.
Another thing that people(including me) are noticing that cisco vpn is having frequent disconnection issue. So it is a problem for IT people working from home

As you saw, we cannot choose lower plan than 6 months, how billing receipt work? Does they send each month bill to our email or its final bill including installation charges or router charges?
Very nice review. Specially you shared the FUP details which is never shared by sales team nor the installation team. Even nowhere it is mentioned in the site that 1000GB is the limit post that its not even 2GB soeed. I have raised ticket but customer service says it's mentioned in website which is wrong. I have already register case in consumer forum and awaiting response. If you have any link which talks about the CAP please share. Appreciate your work!

I dont see any difference between Tikona and Jio Air fiber .. Same devices .. outdoor unit, Charger/power plug. only wifi router and set top box is extra and of course colour is white .

Amazing backup internet for places where broadband is less consistent. 599 main internet and tv both is amazing deal. Currently i am having tata sky and average monthly recharge is approx 400. Just for dth. Once i install this, i will throw my dth in trash.
