Haru finally awakens to herself. I love this awakening so much not only because its cool, but solidifies haru as her own person free of her father's expectations
*[The following comment contains spoilers for future plot and/or gameplay mechanics. Viewer discretion is advised]* 0:37 I’m kinda bummed that we never see Haru’s “weak” Persona in action. At least give the player the option to see the difference between before & after her proper awakening. However, I understand and accept that the *only* reason for this is so we can just get the Palace over with. After all, the story already spent way too much time on Morgana’s drama bullsh&t. If we had to sit through Haru’s awakening and *leave* the Palace shortly after… At least, this way, since Haru technically awakened to her Persona already, the proper awakening won’t take a toll on her, and we can get this over and done with! 1:46 It’s getting a little oversaturated, not gonna lie. That’s what I appreciate about this exchange. I can imagine a slightly deeper delve going something like this; Caroline: “What’s that look on your face? You’re surprised to hear there are other worlds, besides this one, all of which can use our service?” Justine: “No need to worry yourself with such matters. You only need to concern yourself with your own rehabilitation.” Caroline: “Sure, using this service can help them, but it’s not like they’re in so much danger that they need you to drop in and fight their battles.” 6:47 Yeah… but we’d never really see that bond. After all, things discussed in Free Time hardly ever bleeds over into the main story. 8:47 Just a friendly reminder: The in-Palace fiancée is Okumura’s cognitive version of him, i.e., how Okumura _views_ him in real life. Despite knowing (Or, at the very least, _believing)_ this guy would treat Haru horribly, Okumura is *STILL* okay with this guy marrying Haru, and is heavily encouraging Haru to get close to him! 9:43 However, keep in mind that the fiancée turns into a robot. In other words, Okumura sees the fiancée as a means to an end as well, just like his employees. It doesn’t take away from the previous point, but I thought it was something neat to point out. 14:34 I honestly get the feeling Haru was actually *disappointed* that she didn’t really kill her fiancé, and was just worried that he escaped. 30:00 That would fit with the theme of this Palace; Okumura expects all of his employees to do their jobs, despite the long hours & lack of breaks. He seems like the type to expect his employees to simply _endure_ it. 31:20 Me: [Stomps foot hard on the breaks] _……………………………Mother f$&ker…_ [Proceeds to drive] 36:09 I remember having a _choice_ whether or not to fight, when I picked “Human Resources”.
14:34 well, considering how Haru is the one PT member that's happy to say psychotic stuff in the cheeriest manner possible (I.E saying that she feels excited whenever the shadows plead for their lives), I suppose it wouldn't be wrong to assume that lol. On the other hand I'm a bit dissapointed that you can't get to change the heart of that bastard fiance she had. Being able to do that (maybe optionally or as a way to progress her confidant) might just give a bit more satisfaction to the situation.
@@swinelias Yeah! I mean, we get to change the heart of Futaba’s friend’s parents during her confidant, so it’s not like Mementos requests for Phantom Thieves are out of the question.
Ah Sweatshop (the Palace theme)... Not a very big fan especially considering what came before and what comes after, but the name is morbidly amusing. Haru's All Out Attack finisher is probably my favorite in the game next to...a certain person (I think we might have actually already seen it, but I forgot). There's just something really funny about her pulling out a tea set out of nowhere after deleting the enemy. Her finishing line is also quick, simple, and elegant. Perfect. Okumura's Shadow is one of my favorites because of how (unintentionally?) hilarious he looks and the way he sounds nearly incomprehensible. The little shadowy figure of him that appears when you're using Third Eye? Cannot get enough of it. ...Okay, enough of my weird humor though, because the fact that he knows damn well who Sugiwhatever intends to do with his daughter is just...ew. Like, it'd already be bad if he didn't know, but the fact that he does or at least has an idea is significantly worse...
@@JJ_R Nope, but her's is pretty great too. I meant Kasumi for the brief bit of her that we see all the way at the beginning of the game and yep, we did already see it.
So far, I think I might be having a grasp of the elements in this game, but now I'm losing track of the tier elements and the AoE versions of each element. Mind giving me a refresher?
AoE versions simply have “Ma” at the start of the name. As for tiers, I’ll have to make a list for Low & Mid tiers, since they’re different enough. For Bless & Curse, high damage skills end with “on”. For the rest, their high damage skills end with “dyne”. Agi = Low Fire. Agilao = Mid Fire. Bufu = Low Ice. Bufula = Mid Ice. Zio = Low Electric. Zionga = Mid Electric. Garu = Low Wind. Garula = Mid Wind. Frei = Low Nuke. Freila = Mid Nuke. Psi = Low Psychic. Psio = Mid Psychic. Kouha = Low Bless. Kouga = Mid Bless. Eiha = Low Curse. Eiga = Mid Curse. All of these exclude “Severe” damage skills, since they all have different names. Example: Diamond Dust is Severe Ice to a single target, while Ice Age is Severe Ice to all targets. I won’t make a list for those, however, since most Personas don’t learn them.
@@Loner098 Megido is Medium, Megidola is Heavy, and Megidolaon is Severe. All of them hit all targets, but these aren’t the only Almighty attacks. Some of them only hit one, like Life Drain or Spirit Drain. Others affect status effects. Lastly, the highest tiers of Almighty Attacks are signature skills, exclusive to one specific Persona each, and can only be taught to others via Fusion methods.
“Farewell, dear father. I’m not longer your subservient puppet!”
Say what you will about this arc, but this is one of my favorite lines in the game.

Harus awakening is one of the best
Wooooow, they made the Barracks so fuckin braindead easy in Royal. It's not like it was hard in the original, either.

If you’re talking about Futaba’s finisher, it was already shown in this walkthrough. It was the previous Mementos video.
