I don't understand people saying that James sounds better than ever. He's just barely phoning it in on many of these songs, and obviously can't reach many of the high notes any more.
@@megastep there's a noticeable difference between the o2 show and James in recent weeks. He has adjusted certain high notes to where he just goes for an octave lower or a different vocal line.

Il s'est vraiment amélioré depuis 2022. J'étais là en live, c'était incroyable, je pense le meilleur concert de ma vie de loin, ça se voit qu'ils jouent par amour pour le groupe et la musique et putain ça fait plaisir de ressentir tant d'émotions. I’ve seen comments about the vocals being better than the last tour but, really, that isn’t saying much. Up to, say, the Octavarium tour, James was amazing but things steadily got worse and worse. Considering the price of tickets (and merchandising) now, it’s not too much to ask for a vocalist to be in tune but it just isn’t happening for James anymore. I don’t know whether it’s pride, ego or a healthy bank balance keeping him from retiring from DT but sticking around and singing like this (and this was actually better than some other shows - I was at the O2 London gig and it was tragic) does neither James or DT’s reputation any good at all.

I can understand he's having issues; but man, the band should either down-tune or find another fix for this... Instrumental-wise they perform near to perfection and this creates a more contrast while the vocals under-perform. =/
no, actually I was there, the live rendition is close to perfect with effects and the loudness, the charisma and shit... The show was mind boggling... Labrie was definitely the MVP of the night. The emotions, the power, the joy, everything was there... and he put a 3h show in the sweat. Labrie is pure bollocks.
