Nice video, but would like to correct our safety zones. The actual hottest place to be in sauna is on the furthest corner from the kiuas. The heat and water vapors travel basically on the walls and the sealing and you can actually feel the heat coming to you on the side as you sit. But back to the point, as the heat travels it comes down on the furthest corner and that is why that is the hottest place to sit. Basically escaping factor was correct, but heat aspect was reverse.

Thank you for the advice. From now on I’ll sit the safety zone :-)

yes i was just about to write the same. when you sit in the opposite corner of the kiuas the löyly spreads along the walls and ceiling and culminate/aggregate in the opposite corner and thus makes it the hottest place. and the place where the löyly stays the longest.
of course the nearer you sit to the stove the quicker the new löyly comes to you and in that way feels more accute but it also goes away from you really quickly.
for a good balance i sit in the middle but if i were in a löyly competition i would sit next to the stove. the farthest corner is very bad for my stamina because the löyly stays there for so long. it trys to go down the corner but because it is hotter, it can't go anywhere.. and thus it ends up just sitting there.
otherwise everything is spot on! :)

Actually the hottest place depends on the sauna and particularly its air intake and outage as they dictate how air flows after löyly. So the answer depends on how the sauna is built and if the air conditioning is gravity based or mechanical. Mechanical and electric sauna's in apartment buildings tend to have clean air come on top of the stove and hot air exit at the opposite corner and those should be like moonlite x said. But as far as I know and have experienced saunas you have see the locations of the air ventilations to figure out the hottest place.

@@dtrofimczuk1 It depends on the size and shape of the sauna. In both of our saunas, the hottest place is at the end on the stove side, so. closest to the stove.

sauna experts summoned. There are as many airflows as there are saunas. Some better, some not. Ususally down to taste.

Sitting on the lower step is usually just for children.

Is it me or dose it look like you have to few stones in your saunakiuas?

There is enough, but I could add a few more. I plan to buy some white stones to give it a nicer look.
