Pound for Pound! The best! A guy his size...was electric to see. Glad and proud that he from my home state and my era of basketball! He fast as hell...just another gear...he to fast for the camera man... imagine see it in person.
From a general basketball standpoint, He definitely looks ahead of his time. He moves very fluid and confidently, which is crazy considering he was only about 15 here...5'9 and had some NBA game in him already
You may be right but he may have played both I remember him mostly playing shooting guard and Randolph childress playing point guard...That was a tough back court to go against..
@@devvv4616 I mean I love AI dont get me wrong. I'm not specifically hating. Different ways of looking at it. As a player myself I would just never want to play with someone like that. They had to build a team full of role players to support him in Phili. It worked for a little while.
@@jaylee6769 if you were a coach trying to win games... would you rather have Iverson take most of the shots or share the ball with far less talented players?
1/2 savage that's was his traditional cross that made him infamous the crossover did exist before he learned to perfect it I doubt he would give another man props for teaching him something he didn't learn from him
nahh its different from the exaggerated hanging crossover(now called the AI crossover) he spammed in georgetown. He barely did a crossover here, mostly hesitations, while in Georgetown he does it in almost every play lol
He had the in and out crossover before Georgetown but that hesi cross over he learned at Georgetown. It is called the DC cross over, you see guys like Kevin Durant doing the DC cross over.
Hey Savage I think there was shed upon that fact a bit more light. Someone ad Georgetown had a crossover which was basically the prototype and A.I. improved it. I cant even count how many times I rewinded the tape of A.I.'s crossover and Marbury's crossover.
Many your page is great. As a former Schorlorship basketball player in college. Your page is so vaulbale to our beautiful game appreciate the history kids my age 24 forget how good he was and how much of a prodigy is. this man didn't even play his senior year
don't get me wrong I love me some AI. arguably in the top 10 of all time just due to his uncanny ability to score and only being 6 foot. however I would have hated to play on his team at any level. the guy was a straight up chucker. ball hog. 36 points and 3 assists lol. not team basketball at all. but like I said, I do love Allen Iverson. just torn on these selfish scoring types. I love the team game stye of bball.
He was passing those guys, just weren’t ready, I easily counted like 7 or 8 assists if guys would’ve made shots, all that effort he was putting in 5’9 getting 11 boards 5 steals, and your teammates blowing layups and open jump shots, he simply had to takeover the game
Too bad he didn't grow. Looks to be almost his full height here. If he grew up rich with a lot of quality food whenever he wanted he might've been bigger.
THE GOAT..thank goodness for Coach Thompson

I agree, iverson is the best basketball 🏀 player ever, nobody could guard him, he even broke jordans ankles, iverson is definitely the 🐐

funkykriz21 how much is that in feet
@@RDB0199118 thats like 5'7''
A lot of people forgot about Tony Rutland. He went on to play point guard at Wake Forest with Tim Duncan.
Yessir!!!
Right!

Iverson has always been fast though all over the court..

2:25 He must've been calling him tony the whole game.
Probably just meshed his name with his teammate Tony Rutland. He was the other star player on that team.

Perverted me read the title as "AI rare Brothel highlights." I gotta stop watching pork..
Allow me to say this I seldom make hypotheticals but if AI was 6’6 no doubt he’d be the GOAT
If he was 6'6"....it wouldn't be as amazing. He's Iverson because he's IVERSON!!!
Can't be the GOAT without multiple championships 🤷♂️
@SadDad01 Who made that the Standard?.. Stupid assertion since Basketball isn't an Individual sport

Wonder what his senior season would have been like if had been able to play.
2:01 proof he didn't learn the crossover at Georgetown

@1/2 savage that was a basic in and out cross its way easier then the hesitation crossover he learned at Georgetown both very effective
