  • Today we are walking around Arab neighborhood in Tehran that called doulat adab📍
In bustling Dolat Abad, supermarkets and sundry stores line major thoroughfares, along with cafes, bakeries, and neon-lit restaurants serving fast food and traditional dishes. Expansive Mahour Park draws families to its play areas, while nearby Mehran Entezari Park features colorful fountains. The neighborhood is home to numerous mosques set along residential streets, with a few near the Dowlat Abad metro station.
Daulatabad, one of the neighborhoods in the southeast of Tehran; Adjacent to Moshiriyeh and Shahr Ray.
This is one of the first towns in Tehran that was built by a private company named Dolatabad. A town that was equipped with a municipal sewage system in its time and from the very first day
During the Baath regime, Iranians who had immigrated to Iraq many years ago, their residence was not extended and returned to Iran, Iraqis whose thoughts were not aligned with the Baath party, their property was confiscated by Saddam and expelled from the country. This group was known by the Ba'ath party as "Ma'awdin" which means "the expelled" or "returnees".
Over time, Iranian Arabs living in the south of the country, Bahrainis, Syrians and Lebanese, who live in different places, came to Daulat Abad neighborhood due to their cultural affinity. Currently, the majority of the neighborhood is made up of Arabs from neighboring countries and Iranian Arabs. The dominant language in the interaction of the neighbors is Arabic, and many old people of the neighborhood may not be able to speak Persian! So it can be concluded that the fabric of the neighborhood has a high level of integrity.
These immigrants, it's true that they left home, but Daulat Abad neighborhood became their new home and place of living, and which house does not have warm and delicious food with the same authentic taste? From shawarma and Syrian knafe and baklava to kebab and samosa can be found here. It's interesting that over the years, all the dishes are cooked according to their original recipe, and it's as if you're in the middle of Baghdad or Damascus, trying street food!
