"You will conduct sabotage missions behind enemy lines...in your own country" That line hits... The way they "found" people that were involved in sabotage to execute them, was both a mix of good intelligence, and just going very broad with who they executed, hoping at least one of them were involved. And if not, they hoped it would be an incentive for the sabotages to stop. Also, it is very likely that the sabotage missions done by Norwegian saboteurs during the war shortened the war by months, if not being decisive for the whole war's outcome.
It was fun just listening to you. While I have watched this movie before, I didn't watch it now, just listening to your comments. I'm going through Norwegian tests, so wouldn't be able to watch anyways.
While this is (IMO) quite a good movie, it takes some liberties with the truth. One of the most blatant "lies" from the movie, is how the movie depictures Max Manus and his group doing stuff that another resistance cell did. Also, some of the females that are depictured here were actually extremely important resistance leaders themselves, but a combination of them not wanting to go into the spotlight while they lived, and the director wanting the stereotypical "cool, macho man"-focus, without blurring things with female heroes, that truth did not get through in this movie.
