I knew the ll's would finally get their due attention! Finally, people recognized these works of art. Thanks Dick Nesbitt, the designer who helped a family of six around town and elsewhere. Keep them hot and racing
I'm 62, been a ford man all my life, currently own an SVO, I have never seen sooo many II's in one place in my life, Would loved to have been there ! My brother bought a '75 brand new with the 302 and automatic and it stickered for $6500. the monthly payment was $150. Those were the days !!
I so miss my 78 Mustang II. It had 302 V8. 3 speed automatic. If it wasn't for the 2 barrel carburetor that car would have really moved. Thank you very much for posting this video.
My husband and I never thought of the Mustang II as a lesser car. Ford, was and is to be commended for returning to the original pony car concept. They were a nice looking car with a beautiful low belt line in the true late 1970's and 1980's style. To quote the Volvo advert in the 1970's "fat cars die young". People are now coming out and showing their love for the Mustang II and Fox Mustang that followed.
People bash this car but don't know that it was the lightest of all Mustangs. I had a 300hp 302 in a 74 (only Mustang with no V-8 option) and it was faster than all the SS Chevelles and tunnel ram Firebirds where I grew up. It made it into my high school yearbook. Miss that car.
at the 2:34 mark is my old C2 tried to buy it back from the guy I sold it to that worked at Ford I sold it to him in 1996 with a blown out 4th gear I checked back with him 2 years later and he hardly ever drove the car I asked if he he wanted to sell it back and he said no he bought it for an investment, i tried every year going to his house and leaving my number every time just in case he changed his mind, then one of the years I went back I think it was around 2001 or 2 and he told me he sold it, my heart just dropped I teared up all the way back home to Warren Michigan my Dad and I had alot of time invested in that car and he just passed away in June of 2016..How I didnt know about this show is beyond me..Whoever owns this car please contact me if you would like to sell the car...The car is a 4 speed with an aftermarket hoodscoop with a orange light tucked inside the scoop and the chrome hoodpins cd changer etc, I still have the original window sticker for the car $5950 new
Hi Frank I actually found the car a young kid is driving it around I seen him driving it on woodward during dream cruise week he was at a stop light and took off and just ripped thru the gears once the light turned green,at that point I asked my self do I really want the car back? but thanks for the info.
My 1st car was a 75 Mustang 2 ghia. Silver with the maroon velour interior. 302 car. The dam starter wouldn't stay in it, lol. Yeah, a 4 barrel would've been great. Loved that car..
I was going to get one, but people say it's the most hated mustang for some reason.. not trying to anger someone but I'm so confused why? It looks so beautiful.
It's considered the most hated Mustang because it's thought to be nothing more than a glorified Pinto. With a lot of gaudy stripes all over it. To hide the fact that they had zero horsepower. I think the top of the line 302 V-8 was rated at around 100HP max. Most Mustang purists don't even consider it a Mustang, so prices remain low for them. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder so if you like them. By all means get you one and ignore the criticism.
Kimberlyexpects Actually, the highest rated 302 in the II had 139 hp, about 15-20 hp less than a comparable Z28 with a 350 V8. It was on the heels of said Z28 by being about .08 seconds behind it from 0-60. The II was considered slow but the heavier Z28 with a 350 was not. That made no sense. It also had the same rating as the big 1973 Mustang, yet, the II handled much better, especially in Cobra II/King Cobra guise. Yet, no one complained about the heavier '73 model actually being SLOWER than a II. Again, something that made no sense.
@@williamsanseverino1751 Not to mention that the 302 in the II had comparable performance to the original mustang. 1965 Mustang 289.."As for straight-line performance, R&T's 210-horsepower 289/four-speed car did about what the editors expected: 0-60 mph in nine seconds (vs. 11.2 for an automatic 260), a standing quarter-mile of 16.5 at 80 mph, 110 mph all out, and 14-18 mpg." 1976 Cobra II 302 4spd... The Mustang II kind of remind the Maverick, the front end look very similar, it´s a good looking car anyway. There are some of them lost here in Brasil.
If i had the money you could turn this car into the ultimate project get a 75 mustang II and put the new 5.0 in it and holy shit this would be the ultimate sleeper
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 always thought they were a cool looking car’s 👍the Ford used say the right for the right time this car saved the mustang name and made it possible for the car to continue be produced how pony car’s came and went and brought back !!!!!
Please help me I own a 1976 Mustang I’m looking for motor mounts for a 302 I will buy them and pay for shipping thank you again please help me if possible
Nicky I'm currently redoing my ii. You might want to look at classic auto reproduction. They have a poly urethane rebuild kit and also in process of motor mounts production. . I did rebuild kit for $100 . Just ordered a stripe kit from them . Lot of reproduction parts !
I have had mustangs for over 40 years. I have always looked down on the Mustang 2 era . Not any more. Iam really starting to like this body style.....now they are getting spendy.
Poeple can blow smoke up the ass of the Mustang II all they want but the fact is the cars was a hopped up POS rotbox and justly named as the worst Mustangs made.
yea you never had one so shut up , best steering car i ever had the v8 low hp just like the fox body but looks like a mustang unlike the fox or box body witch had no id of a mustang just a fairmont with a mustang eblem but the mustang returned in 95
You clearly know nothing about the Mustang II if you think it’s “jUsT a PiNtO!!” Maybe the styling was a bit similar but the Mustang II shared very little with the Pinto. Fun fact: The original Mustang shared more parts from the Falcon than the Mustang II did with the Pinto.

Awesome! I have mine all the way here in South Africa. Very few here

Sounds like a great car. I agree with you on the carburetor, my king is fitted with a 4 barrel edelbrock and moves like a bolt. My pleasure.
Great to see these cars getting some love! They deserve more attention and appreciation.
OMG! Heaven! Never knew about this! Love the II's!

The one near the end with the '69 style front end and chrome bumper !!
This is when you realize just how beautiful the II's are. Like Marcus Antonio said, they finally get their due !!!
People love to hate on the Mustang II but these shows prove them wrong.
Thanks for Sharing this Video.
No Problem man all love for the II! :)
Hard to pick a favorite among that group.
Take them all! ;)

William Sanseverino throw on some good breathing aluminum heads a four barrel carburetor an e303 cam headers and exhaust and you got a rocket ship.
