I loved the season as a whole, yes there were some inconsistencies and plot holes but I put them down to me not being the target audience. I thought the pace was fantastic and the humour landed. Definitely great Trek.
18:41 I think we *do* see the Protostar coming through the wormhole the first time with Chakotay and his original crew. When speaking of the temporal echoes, we hear Wesley say “What was will be.” while slow panning the camera across one particular echo going the opposite direction; showing the only time the Protostar traveled the other way through the wormhole towards Solum. This was, in my book, Wesley commenting on how forming this wormhole created the reason, or “was” the reason it “will” have had traveled forward to future Solum in the past, from our perspective.
what i don't get is how they fixed the timeline. The young Deviner and the young Vindicator are their friends in the end so they will never go after the protostar. The deviner will never found the slave colony on Tars Lamura he will never have the need to create Gwyndala. So how is she saved by just sending the ship back without loosing Solem to that dark time and civil war that leads to the time in which they install the living construct on Protostar?
I didn't like the end being tied into the Picard thing.....but I really enjoyed this season, wasn't perfect.....but they nailed the character arcs, and it was satisfying.
Was the solum craft a fighter? I assumed shuttle. We do know the Vau N'akat had warships prior to the temporal shipyards. Wonder what they were like, if the Vau N'Akat had sub-light ships at this time or what.
The small budget was really, how the cuts went....like someone gave up, turned down all the sound, then chopped to the next part..........just seemed jarring, or the person that would normally do it was sacked before the season started....it should feel seemless going from one animation to the next, but they just cut to black, and started up again.

Just a great show and a season 3 could be interesting with where season 2 ended.
