They made this look easy. BELIEVE ME, IT IS NOT. The NIGHTMARE overlap join in particular, they just left out. You cannot just butt this stuff up against a wall unless the wall is PERFECTLY flat and square and literally NONE is, AND you would have to start off sticking your initial strip perfectly square and perpendicular to the wall as well or as you unroll, it will drift away from, or climb up the wall. Once you've pressed this stuff down its impossible to lift it again without stretching and distorting it. Be prepared to do the job twice, once to learn all the drawbacks, and once to fix most of the errors you made. Also be prepared to spend HOURS pricking and flattening bubbles, there will be hundreds.
Over the following weeks ALL of the flaws in mine magically disappeared. It's now as smooth as glass. My preparation was thorough. Detailed sanding, dust cleaned away and a final clean with isopropyl alcohol before application.
Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences. You're absolutely right - working with adhesive films can present challenges, especially when it comes to achieving seamless results. We always recommend relying on a professional for installation. Certified Cover Styl installers undergo comprehensive training at our facilities, ensuring they possess the expertise needed to achieve a flawless outcome. Indeed, achieving a perfect result can be a bit more intricate than it seems. Properly aligning the material, addressing overlaps, and ensuring a smooth surface can be a time-consuming process. We understand that there's a learning curve, and we appreciate your patience. While these films offer transformative possibilities, they do require attention to detail and patience.
What's the join like between the first and second panel? Is the second panel just stuck on top of the first? Would this not cause issues as it won't be flush?
Absolutely, you've touched on an important aspect! When installing panels, it's recommended to overlap them slightly. This technique ensures a more seamless and flush appearance, reducing any potential issues with unevenness. Plus, the overlap method enhances the overall durability of the installation. If you need more detailed guidance or have any other questions, feel free to reach out! We're here to help make your project a success 😃
Thanks for replying. I can't quite imagine it though! Would there not be a raised line where the overlap is, which would collect dirt and debris? Is a heat gun used to fuse it together or?
Yes, dirt and debris can accumulate at the overlap point, but the cleaning process is super easy, and nothing remains in that area if you clean it properly. Here, a heat gun is not used to fuse the two parts together. In case it's necessary, a butt joints technique can also be used.

surface for directly cutting food depends on factors such as their hardness, scratch resistance, and durability. Adhesive films are designed with specific properties to withstand daily use. However, it is recommended to use cutting boards to protect the adhesive film surface during food preparation and thus extend its lifespan 😊
To clean the Cover Styl' adhesive film on your countertop, simply use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild soap. Avoid abrasive products or rough sponges, as they can damage the film. Also, steer clear of harsh chemicals like ammonia or acetone. Regular cleaning with soapy water should keep your Cover Styl' countertop looking great 😃

It is perfectly safe to remove a Cover Styl' adhesive film if it's applied to a laminated surface. However, if it is applied to wallpaper, paint or plasterboard for example, your original surface will be damaged.
I understand your concern. The durability of the material is a valid consideration, especially for work surfaces. Our adhesive films are designed to be durable and resistant to wear and tear. They are often used in high-traffic areas and have been tested for long-term use. However, it's important to follow proper maintenance guidelines to ensure their longevity. If you're looking for a tough and lasting solution, our adhesive films might be a suitable option.
Wow the most professional Ive ever seen !!.
Thank you so much! 🥰

How do you join the two sides? Overlap? Or cut a straight line?

Thumbs down for missing out the most important part of joining the two sections together
We're sorry that you're disappointed by this missing part. We'll take note of it for a future video.

Can you put hot stuff on sides? Is thier a link for this vinal please
Hi, our adhesive films are heat-resistant, but we do not recommend, for example, placing a hot pan directly on the vinyl without protection 😊

If this material can be cut so easily with a razor blade, how would this material last if using a knife to cut food directly on the countertop?

Couldve touched more on how you did the corner where it overlaps
Thank you for your feedback, we will take it into consideration for an upcoming video 😊
What about the join, most important part was left out! I'm assuming it must be a pain in the scrote
We apologize for not showcasing the overlap in the video. Your feedback is noted, and we will consider it for a future video.
How do you double cut the crease?
No silicone is reapplied?
What do you clean it with ?

And you totally forgot or deliberately missed the joining between the two sections.
If you are going to do a video try and do it fully for christ sake
They literally missed one of the most important parts of the install 😞
We apologize for not showcasing the overlap in the video. Your feedback is noted, and we will consider it for a future video.

Where are you based?
Our headquarters are based in Luxembourg, but we have partners all around the world 🙂
You left out the most important part and the most difficult part, which is where the two vinyls meet at the 90° join.
Poor video for that reason.
We're sorry that you're disappointed. Your feedback is duly noted for consideration in an upcoming video.
