I have 2 of the Dagger mags. I shot 30 rounds of Blazer Brass115 grain FMJ through each in my G48 with no problems. Mine had the plastic release and the mags were fully loaded for a week before shooting. There was a warning about using them with the metal release.
No doubt the first time shooting them I did use a 43x that had the shield arms upgrade..but like I said only had issues with that one mag the others I have had zero issues. Just keep putting rounds down range and enjoy it!
I learned the hard way to stay away from the metal mag releases. Had to trash two of my oem mags cause they wore out from the metal mag catch. This was on my g19 not even 43x.
Yea man I won 5 of the micro dagger mags and at the time I didn't even have a 43x so borrowed one from a buddy that already had the upgrade done to it.
I did notice that the magazine indents on my PSA magazine are not as deep as the OEM magazines. I do not believe that these or the OEM magazines were designed for metal magazine releases. Shield Arms S15s would probably be your best bet if you like an upgraded magazine release. I have seen a few videos now with people having issues with the PSA magazines with one hand shooting. I honestly have not tried it myself but plan to when I go to the range again. In the one video I watched, one out of three guys had the one hand issue, so it could just be a "limp wrist" inertia thing. I am going to try it with both the PSA and OEM magazines for comparison.
Yea man I mean I only had issues with that one mag and was only shooting one hand to show I wasn’t hitting the mag release. I’m not mad about it though anything can go wrong with any brand just luck of the draw lol just proof to always test your stuff. Could have been a bad day in a bad situation lol
I noticed that the mag indents of the PSA aren't as deep as the Glock mags but I haven't had issues. Have you tried the "tap & tug" on them method on it instead of just tapping? I'm trying to develop a new habit after watch a UA-cam trainer talk about how he sees mags falling out all the time in his classes (I've seen it too)! He says that merely tapping a mag in, isn't enough all of the time... because sometimes they can partially latch and not fully latch and then it will fall out when you present to shoot or fire the 1st shot. I don't think it will work on your specific mag, but would be worth a try to see if it is truly a bad mag indent, or if it just has trouble latching FULLY.
I have gave that mag to a buddy when he got his micro dagger. Said he’d probably do some work to it…but never had to worked fine in his micro 🤷🏼♂️ but it was the only mag I really had issues with in my 43x
Couple of things, aftermarket mag releases are not always the best for aftermarket mags, if not the same brand designed to work with each other. Also, it is a slide stop, not designed to be a release to feed a round. Try slingshotting the slide.
Did you happen to notice the base plate bulging when fully loaded? Going to leave mine fully loaded for a couple weeks to see if that effects spring tension.
@@michaelbass8450 I'm hoping the mag has a good grip on the baseplate grooves and doesn't fail to hold under recoil. I really want these magazines to work. Keep us posted on your experiences with them. Thanks.
@@baron7024 I think they are pretty great no doubt..I just had issues with that one mag. Other than that the others have had flawless performance. Life expectancy to be determined lol but even with one mag failing I’d recommend everyone test their own, get rounds down range before committing to carrying for everyday self defense.
Yes and like I said my buddy’s 43x that I originally used had the shield arms upgrade with metal mag release and I believe mine was aluminum as well being aftermarket. That could have been the cause to the damage. But I wouldn’t think only a few times shooting it would cause that but who knows the others have been good to go so far without issue
I got 2 15 round PSA Dagger mags for my glock 43x and i had to return them becausr my gun wouldnt cycle 😢 i want to try pro mag but im afraid i will have the same issue
Man hate to hear that! I know it sucks to be excited to get something and it not work out. Check out tyrantcnc.com and look into getting their extended mag. You can get just the extension that comes with new spring and use your oem mag or you can get one already assembled. It worked great for me!
Though I agree with you and like I said I would probably stick to OEM myself for carry they are still some great mags especially for the range. I really only had an issue with that one particular mag.
My Glock 43x looks similar as yours, almost as if you copied mine lmao jk Try taking your magwell off and see if that problematic mag still gives you issues. I have a S15 Gen 2 that does same thing. I took my magwell off and it didn’t do it anymore. Yea, i know some work with your magwell on, but your mag may be slightly off measurement wise when made.
No copy we just have good taste 🤣 love that black and gold! Yea the other ones working good I’m gonna assume that particular mag just had a tolerance issue
No, never, please enlighten me wise one 😂 but seriously yea I see what ya mean after rewatching. During the malfunction finger should have came out off the trigger also when it was clear. However weapon stayed pointing down range in a safe shooting area. Regardless thanks for pointing it out, this is how we learn bad practices and being able to watch again myself and see it. Something for me to pay attention to next time I’m out. 🤙🏼

I have the micro dagger mag in my 43,x..100 rounds absolutely no issues planing to buy more
They are some nice mags I’m not faulting them for one bad mag it could happen with any company! My other mags have been flawless.

thanks for the video
No problem!

Man honestly I didn’t notice

Deep six the metal mag release.
Lefty too
dropping mag due to metal mag catch looks like it has dug into the mag and the flared magwell might be helping too
So the only mag that had an issue was the mag that had that weird mark by the catch?

5 Extra Rounds Doesn’t Matter If It Doesn’t Empty The Mag Reliably

@@michaelbass8450 I Started To Get A 43x Just Because Of Psa Seen A Good Trade In For Under $400

Not a reliable review with a custom gun ! Non factory barrel
And even still they performed well with the exception of that one mag..it’s also made for a micro dagger that hasn’t been fully released yet so…
What type of Maxwell do you have on your 43x?
It’s from www.tyrantcnc.com
I have two shield mags and a mag release gen 2 is someone interested
ever heard of trigger discipline?

Probably pressing mag release the real problem is men shooting tiny guns 😅😅😅 carry and shoot the biggest one that you can get away with .
Shot one handed to avoid this scenario. But I do prefer to carry the 19 over the 43x
