The mutant shulker actually looks like a really neat and interesting boss
Can't say I'm a fan of the levitating homing orbs. Never was. They're more annoying than threatening.

@@prototypex8217 thats because this is not the mod, the one your thinking of is called mutant mobs reborn which adds the mutant zombie, skeleton, creeper and enderman. this mod is called mutant more which adds more mutant mobs for mobs which were not present in 1.7.10 and you literally cant play this mod unless you install the first one which is why i find it kind of weird how nobody can tell the two apart but oh well reality often disappoints i guess.

@@prototypex8217 but what im saying is nobody if forcing you to give it up, you don't need to backdate your version to 1.7.10 you can just play the reborn version + mutant more and it will be the same experience with extra mutant mobs

I personally think a Mutant Husk or Stray would be cool. Husks don’t burn in the sun so it wouldn’t make sense if they were weak to the sun like the Mutant Zombie and their skin color and different clothing would be cool to see. The Stray would at lest be cool because of the fact they have white eyes instead of hollow eye sockets and they have what looks like a pendant or a gem of some kind on their chest. Which could lead to a much different design than the skeleton and wither skeleton.
@@ThefifthBishopofGord They already have the Mutant husk in the original Mutant more, although it's still getting reworked for the new version
What I like about the mutant mod is how grounded it is. It doesn't make some invincible mob, it makes a genuine boss, with powerful but balanced drops.
the only things i would change would be to add a boss health bar, and i like the shulker shield but since there is a much better alternative( the blaze shield) i think that a new kind of shulker backpack would be a better idea, or something that would synergize with the other items, maybe something that lifts the mobs up and then crashes them down temporarily halting their movement.
you can activate the boss bar in the configs
I could see a superpowered shulker box that holds entities rather than items, so you could transport your whole village or a whole bunch of chest boats, or even TNT
i think the blaze shield has too long of a cooldown to be reliably used throughout a battle though so having the choice would be nice
Honestly, if i were to change anything...
Make it where the Compound Z simply unlocks further mutants/bosses, rather than simply being a more expensive version of Y (at least from what the video implies)
You'd think combining some mutant's core with Y would sort of "overcharge" it, possibly even change the Mutation effect...
@@higueraft571 Here me out, Y should mutate regular mobs, and Z could mutate undead. Or it could be based on rarity or which world it originated from
11/10, this is hands down one of the best mods out there

The mutant blaze gives me memories of what couldve been, the hovering inferno's loss was a tragedy
thats the purpose of mods, to give you what mojang didn't give, this is a perfect substitute for the hovering inferno
they made the phantom sound so cool and then it ended up being the worst mob in the game, so maybe its for the best

Mutant blazing this mod basically destroys your computer, there's way too many moving objects and particles and it just throws you around until your dead. Other than that it's a great mod that deserves more attention.

I highly suggest to increase your gamma in files to 5, it makes everything visible while still keeping shadows and dark spaces for shaders

Mutant Wither would be monstrous, Mutant Iron Golem would be sick, Mutant Warden would be terrifying, however Mutant Ender dragon would be the real final boss of the game and could serve as a second phase for it

Yup, Chemical X won't work on Mutant More mobs, as well as Formula Y and Compound Z won't work on Mutant Beasts.
well they had to make it compatible since you cant play Mutant More mobs without also having Mutant Beasts installed
will other versions be updated to have these new mutations like 1.16.5 or is this just for 1.19?

I love the mutants. The Way they fight and also making the game more difficult. I just think the formula y concept is stupid and doesn’t fit to the minecraft feel. Since these bosses reminded me a lot of dark soul bosses you could just have them spawn naturally for instance: blaze king, fortress guardian and end guardian. I think that would fit much better in the minecraft feel
