’Donsya a’n Loryow’ translates in Cornish to ‘Dance of the Moons’. Some of the songs were written in my homelands language and are in many ways a homage to the magic of that land. Whilst recording at home in Mousehole I started to notice the times I felt most inspired to make music would fall on certain cycles of the moon. It was these lunar dances that inspired the Title and Album Artwork which is an oil painting I made of a hand headed moon maiden.
It is a collection of songs created between the springtimes of 2020-2021 at Home in Cornwall and Dorset. All of the music was written, performed, recorded, mixed & produced by me, then mastered by Ryan Van Kriedt. It is a piece of work I have poured much of my heart, time, and soul into the past two years so I am very excited to finally be able to share it with the world.

This album reminds me of so many things that I love. Nina Nastasia, Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Nico, John Cale, Vashti Bunyan, but it's the panoramic way the album is sequenced that is really special. Has a filmic quality - somehow reminds me of tracking the quality of light just at dusk. Beautiful artwork too.

Wow, that ascending/descending harmony from 11:47-11:57 is so smart and sounds incredible.

You really have done yourself justice here. You've come up with one of those albums that is it's own self-contained world (like Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom or Emily Portman's The Glamoury to name a few). It never deviates from the strength of your vision and is like a musical suite or a series of movements rather than separate songs. That's very much not a criticism by the way. You should be very proud and very happy about what you've given to us.
Its a rare and wonderful to find music so potently Free.

I’ve been listening to this album every day since it came out. I love everything about it, it’s truly unique and nothing like I’ve heard before. One question though, could you release the lyrics for the songs? English is not my first language and I struggle with song lyrics😭
