"We have a mission going on right now and we'd like you to participate.
On Feb. 29, Kristopher Bruders posted a song in response to the Kansas City Royals' stadium being built in the Crossroads Art District, and he sent out a creative challenge to other artists. He collected the responses and started reposting them into one song.
Cody Wyoming joined in to add his song, voice, and support of furthering this challenge into a performance. Rural Grit is providing a place for this song to continue to grow each Monday at the Rural Grit Happy Hour.
We would love for you to sing one of the verses (found on the A Living Breathing Folk Song FB page) or bring your own verse to sing this coming Monday, March 18 around 7:30/7:45 pm at the Brick, 1727 McGee. The following two Mondays have featured artists, but we will sing as well.
Let us know if you can join us and what verse you'd like to perform or just show up and check in with Kim, Cody, or Kris.
We hope you can join us!

An organic, collaborative response to the invisible public officials, lack of community involvement, non-transparent plan and marketing falsehoods of the proposed Royals' stadium tax, subsidies and relocation to the Crossroads Art District. We live here!
"This is about spreading the word and it's about what Folk Music "Is". It's music that is alive, and belongs to the people. Sometimes it's just for laughs and sometimes it's for helping you celebrate. Sometimes it simply celebrates itself. But, it also helps us when we're sad and helps us fight injustice. This song is of the latter variety. It's being written, produced and performed by the Artists Community, in the East Crossroads." Cody Wyoming
