This review gives me hope that Wolf Among Us 2 will not disappoint!
If it ever releases
It will be amazing. There is no way that game is going to be bad.
The first one was AMAZING, i'm pretty confident
-It Died Like The Kompany 😩. Of All The Games, It Was One Of The 1st
Among Us 2
i liked it so far... loved the environmental story telling. I will need to see more. I found it too short tbh but we ll see how long the future episodes are gonna be
How may episodes are out already?
@@HairyBetch just one
They release every 2 weeks
Next episode is aug10
Just watch the original TV series lol. It's 60 hours of content and each of them does not disappoint
@@mihan2d im reading leviathan wakes and im all in.
Tbh the show didnt grab me as much when i watched it a few years ago. Will definitely give it another shot though.
Cheers!
"Ooh I can get this for the wife. She'll love playing this on the Steam Deck on holiday. Oh, Epic store... Nevermind."
Pirate it
glad these guys are still around making games
I’m going to wait until it’s fully released, if all the other episodes are 45-50 min I’ll pass till a huge sale.
Personally I din't like it much
It is short, lack options/dialogue which doesn' matter much, the voice-acting doesn't do it for me and thre is something uncanny about the graphic. I mean the end of the episode felt od for me, despite my choice hurting certain character they still sided with us whuch felt odd
Felt like the episode could be divided into the three part: The introduction that introduce the limited cast of character and set-up each crew(s) relationship in quite a lackluster fashion - Scavenger which took most of the episode if you spent the time exploring, but wasn't very developed gameplay/mechanic wise and din't have much to offer other than the decent atmosphere - and finally the shortest part 'betrayal' with the worst quicktime event and most rushed ending in any telltale game I played
Compare that to other title and the crack show passing/interactivity wise
Thanks for the info. Lets me know what to expect without being too soft on whats not enjoyable.
Same here. I found the gameplay extremely limited and boring and the characters felt very flat and cliched. The acting and dialogue was like something from a Tommy Wiseau movie, which gave me some laughs, but not enough to keep me interested.
@@DanHammonds
Yeah the game is so bad I regret buying it it’s not even close to their older games it’s not a gem like the wolf among us or borderlands or batman
this game will always be "too short". Cus they created it from Caminas perspective. Best character in the entire series. Second best was Amos and then Avisirala. But Caminas hard ass but also fair judgements ruled the show.
Hope it continues like this thru-out the episodes. Camina ftw.
BOBBIE FU'KING DRAPPER has entered the chat (to kick some ass).
ALL games are too short if we enjoy them.
I need to figure out where in the expanse timeline this story takes place as drummer changes throughout the series from ruthless belter scavenger to magnanimous leader, as to inform my choices.
It's before the start of the show. At least, the first episode is. :)
@@TCO_404 so the more brutal choices it is then
@@L1VE3V1Lyup guess so 😎
@@L1VE3V1LIt might not be so simple though - could be that she was a more empathetic person in the past, but the choices she made (i.e. in this game) played a part in developing the "ruthless" persona we see when we meet her in the show!
@@L1VE3V1L haha yeah, though not needlessly so, I guess.
That shot of Io at 3:12 shows the shadow on the night side be actually _darker_ than the background space. _The Expanse_ tries to be reasonably hard SF; how can you _make_ that sort of mistake?
01:59 Yeah, that was the weird thing. I thought it was just my ROG Ally. Otherwise I’m loving it. I’m at episode 3 - the game really gets good there. Thanks for the review.
The Expanse is one of the greatest sci-fi universes of all time.
Your OPINION is noted.
Its not up to debate lol. ITS A FACT@@kiillabytez
@@lakithminod2962 Subjectively, it is.
It should be noted that James S.A. Corey is the pen name of two authors, not a plural author with multiple head mates
This is great & I can't wait to try it. Now if only Telltale would make a "Red Dwarf" game...
Imagine an Expanse MMORPG like Star Trek Online.
I want another Poker Night, but I doubt it'll have characters I care about now.
Love that this got a good review. I'm a big fan of both the show and the books, and it's good to see both's emphasis on the physics of space travel trickle down into a game adaptation. (Not sure about those character models though.)
I didn't really care for the Drummer character on the show, but maybe one day we'll get a Disco Elysium-style Detective Miller game! Or a Gunnery Sergeant Bobbie Draper FPS! Or a Deputy Undersecretary Avasarala Civ-style sim! :D
(Ofc, I'd be happy with just another season the show to give the main storyline a proper conclusion.)
Avasarala is the main character of the bonus episode. As a fan of the show and books, you really can't skip out on this. ;)
@@TCO_404That's awesome; she's my favorite character in the series!
@@luxinterior54 likewise. She's the best. 😁
Yo there are many drummer simps, dont say that 😢
This was barely advertised
This is out?. This was barely advertised.
The acting and dialogue in this game is so bad it's hilarious. It's like watching a Tommy Wiseau movie in space.
i would love to know how to save and load
Nice to hear that Telltale is back. I enjoyed the Batman Telltale series.
This is out?
Didn't tell taletale famously go under during the walking dead's final season? How are they back?

Nice..
Nice
Look is good. I enjoy the TT games so…..
Weren't TellTale... like... shut down?
It looks like they made a new company and bought most of their IP back? So maybe they’re operating as a smaller company than before now, different leadership, same engine and idea
Somehow TellTale returned

Rose from the dead - did you learn nothing from their games?
Wake up bro your are living in 2018
I’ve played every telltale game from wolf among us,all of the walking dead, and both Batman games. This is by far their most boring game yet. It’s not bad, but their older games had me engaged from the jump. This game feels like a chore to play just to see how it ends
The Expanse has a rabid fanbase that will eat this up... and scrutinize it down to the smallest protomolecule. I hope they did their homework.
Kickass that Telltale hasn't died on licensed farts btw!
I’m looking forward to this. I can’t wait for The wolf among us 2! My tits would bounce if they brought The walking dead back.
This game should've never made it to launch, 1st time ive spent decent money on telltale and was severely disappointed.
It's not developed by telltale, it's from Deck Nine, Telltale didn't work on this, their just the publisher.
Telltale did develop this, along with support from Deck Nine.
@@theescapist I don't think so, you can see it in the credits.
You had me right up until you said "epic game store." Oh well.
It'll come out on steam eventually. It has been co firmed
@@adalgissarodriguez7026 given that telltale are a smaller studio I can understand them cutting a deal with epic to be fair and epic does offer a better split for developers, I just find their launcher to be insufferable to use and I did not like how they started out waving their wallet around and stealing up exclusivity deals on games that people had pre ordered for steam.
The game was quite confusing to me, I never watched the tv show. The story was nothing special. The characters were unlikable, all of them. The mouse felt weird throughout the game.
They didn’t really respect the IP in this game. Ships are laid out lengthwise and not like skyscrapers which is how it works in the show, the graphics are looks like they’re from 2005 on a ps4 pro. And the controls are pretty bad.
Oh really? They screwed up the ship layouts? FFS guys.
Literally I figured a studio named deck 9 would appreciate a space game where you can have a ton of decks on even "small" ships.
The voice acting in this game is so fucked
Glad I wasn't the only one to think so. I kept getting Tommy Wiseau vibes.
It looks really bad
What the actual ****!?
There are a lot of fake reviews here! All the 5 and 4, even 3 star reviews are utter bull*hit. This was a waste of time and money, a chore to even play and a disservice to the show itself. It doesn't even bring anything to the table, even if you are familiar to the TV series (6 seasons!) Even when I paid 10 bucks, I felt cheated and wanted a refund after playing for 8/9 hours (Because someone in Telltale didn't get the memo of putting in the skip button during dialogue/ cutscenes!)
Overall, utterly, unapologetically boring. Save your money, folks!
Have a nice day/ night!
Nope this is NOT a commendable comeback.
Im sorry, i just have to point to the wallance and grommit game they did and say, ill just never play a bad point and click tell tale game again lol. worse, they only made one game and just slapped a skin on it. theyre so thin gameplay wize. story alone doesnt make a good game.
That depends on what you want from the game. I love story-heavy games like this. Wolf Among Us, Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, even Minecraft, all of these were amazing experiences created with passion and respect for the universe they were based on.
I don't disagree that the games are a bit samey, but Tales of Monkey Island for example, has my favorite story in the Monkey Island franchise. There's some real gems in there.
@@vojnov9885yeah, loved those.
this game sucks
Does it contain modernist propaganda?
Yes, space
@@JulesNekro😂
I couldn’t continue the first episode it’s SO BORING AND DISAPPOINTING it’s not as good as their old games at all not even close
The stories "tough" choices are not that tough at all.
