Until he said his name, I thought it was James (I don’t know if my phone will recognize his last name) from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder... (with a frustrated sigh I say this) damn, James is an ingrate, I honestly do not care what his reason is, weather he and Emma like it or not, “once a ranger always a ranger” as the saying goes.

And you have to look at it from Emma's perspective: she's more or less been known as one thing since Dino Thunder and that alone is probably really grating, but she isn't even referred to as Emma people call her Kira, she doesn't want one job to be the only thing she's remembered for. Saying they should take an oath is honestly the most entitled thing you could do as a fan.

He's tired of the criticism that he had no control over. Megaforce is a season most fans hate. The Neo-Saban Era only has one beloved season (Dino Charge).
That's why he "laid it all out". He used to be a very charismatic goofball in real life, but these conventions can wear you down if your "popular media" faces heavy judgement...😕.
