I have this camera and I love taking it with me. This camera is perfect for someone who wants a light weight camera and isn’t an professional photographer. You want to take higher quality photos compared to a smartphone and learn photography. Really it’s perfect for all levels of photography, I wish it had IBIS

Admittedly, I am a full-frame Sony shooter with a number of bodies. I picked up the XT-30II to have something light to travel with and carry around town. When I looked at my first shots (through the VF and rear LCD) my reaction was "meh." After importing the card into LR my reaction changed to "holy shit!" Don't judge this little beast by the viewfinder and rear LCD. The number of film looks and styles that you can create is awesome. I find something else to love about this camera every time I pull it out of my bag.
Same here. Have an A7iii which I use for concerts, big events mainly because of the AF, battery life and low light capabilities. Workhorse of a camera, for my daily dose of photography fun Fuji, Leica and Ricoh all the way.
Finally found one and love it. The Q button was the first thing I had to change though. I use the 16mm 2.8, 33mm 1.4 and the 56mm 1.2. That pretty much covers my shooting style.
I would recommend you to rent or borrow the cameras before making a choice. Specs wise they are similar but in the end camera choices are personal. What type of photography do you shoot?
Just ordered an xt30ii and the wr 27mm lens. I have an a7iii as well with lots of nice lenses but it's just too big and heavy most of the time. Want something small and light, inconspocious. Excited for the manual way of taking pictures, it's how I learned. Might even shoot jpeg with a film simulation, not even do all the RAW tinkering. You mentioned in your other video ("why you should buy the xt30ii") you still take your a7 with you a lot. Could you expand on why, where the a7 becomes the preffered choice over this fuji? Thanks for the great videos.
Hi J C! Well the Sony A7III is my workshorse for two specific type of photography concerts & bands and birding (200-600mm). For concert & bands it is the lenses (85mm, 70-200 & 16-35 I use) combined with the A7 because of the low light capabilities, battery life , ergonomics, auto focus (continuous), buffering speed and weather/dust sealing. The music, bands and crowds are fast moving, messy and often low-light, Birding is fast shooting, AF is key. When it comes to everyday/street/travel it is fuji, ricoh and leica. Depending on my mood or preference :)
Oh when it comes to fuji, give yourself a few months before you really start appreciating it. the 27mm is a great lens, well chosen. As for the JPEG and film sims. Learn how to apply the DR settings and mastering the highlights and shadows. It will take some time and I will guarentee you that you wont be shooting RAW that much :)

is this camera worth upgrade from xt30 mark i ?
I'd say the differences are burst rate and webcam functionality.
If you read at camera decision you'll find the full specs

Yes! Sensor type and processing engine have been updated as well as working memory. This results in way more extensive options of customizing the camera and improved autofocus.
Please help, i still confused to decide xt30ii or xs10 as my 1st mirrorless. Thank you
Are you photography, videography or hybrid centric?
@@PaulTakesPhotos 80% photos 20% video. My existing camera is canon 850d
I'd go for the XT30ii simply because it is more photography centric. Video limit is 10 mins with no overwrite. XS10 does have better grip, but is aimed at hybrid shooters. It is just my opinion. If you can rent either of the cameras i would suggest to do that first, before buying
@@PaulTakesPhotos thank you so much for the advice Paul, really appreciate it. May God bless you
i really the BW photos that u took.
Thank you! Much appreciated
Great video sir. I want to know if there is any problem in XT30II with the autofocus?
In Single not a single one
If you go into Continuous AF it is key you know or learn how to calibrate the settings. I also shoot Sony and in terms of AF that is always leading in class. That said Fuji has made great steps forward on AF
Hello, I want to buy camera. My main focus is photography. But I got confused between sony ZV-E10, Canon R50 and fuji XT30ii. Can you please suggest me one focused on photography, please ??
All three a good cameras so I understand your confusion. I'd say rent those cameras for 2 days each so you feel the cameras and see which one you prefer. Out of the three you mention i gravitate towards the Fujifilm as it is small, compact, the lenses are small and compact in general and Fuji is a fun experience. What type.of photography will you be shooting?
If you use a lens with OIS, can you turn the OIS off in camera?
Yes you can.
@@PaulTakesPhotos Great, thanks
i like this XT-30II very much. However, it’s autofocus is such a disappointment to me. And after the recent firmware update, the whole camera became ill-functional.
I find the autofocus in single excellent. In continuous it has greatly improved. I do have the latest frimware too, but really have no issues. What is the issue you are facing that renders the camera useless?
