DUMMY LOAD FOR CB ( Made from House Bulb )

I made this ideo for Video for Dirtbike 5100 check out his channel this dummy load has an average of 2:1 to 1 SWR which isn't bad for working on a Radio Experimenting with differ bulbs helps It is more of a Novelty Item Please use on a cheap radio while testing / dirtbike5100

Novelty and cheap radio are the key words.
Would work ok on a CB for short distance comms as you've mentioned.
Now if any one is wanting to build a good, workable dummy load, don't use light bulbs. The element in the bulb is a wire wound filament and not give you a true VSWR reading.

Novelty item is correct. Using a cheap radio you dont care about is also correct. With a few modifications you can make this a true 50 ohm dummy load and hook expensive radios up to them for bench testing , alignment, and mods.

Use a fine tooth comb to unbraid it. Fast and works good.

Nunca utilize uma lampada como carga não irradiante em equipamentos com transistores de potencia ou FETs na etapa final.
