Hi Dianne. My sink is soaking as I type this and I wanted to say thanks for the video. I have tried to declutter and get my house in order many times but I am determined to do it this time and it's the first time in a long time that I have made a new years resolution. Maybe it has to do with turning 40 a few months ago but I have big plans for this year and its all starting with a clean sink and a decluttered porch!
Thank you Diane for not deleting these! This never gets old! 3 years ago I went from chaos to sparkling clean and organised while pregnant and following your baby steps. While in a labor at the hospital a friend went to my apartment to grab some things, I think she was a little bit freaked out by how perfectly organised it was 😂 Fly lady got me there. Looking forward to going from chaos to clean once again (with a 2 year old this time)
Hi Diane, I'm new with flylady and figured I should hold myself back and start with the baby steps instead of going all in and getting overwhelmed. Going to follow your video's to do so =) Thanks for making these. Already cleaned my sink a couple of minutes ago.
I am now going through the 31 steps for the 4th or 5th time. They are just as inspiring and necessary as ever. Thanks a million. Your channel is timeless. Thank you.
So I’m just starting here in Albuquerque New Mexico (I’m an almost 70-year-old fourth generation Scandihoovian - Norwegian/Danish - New Mexican) after watching the videos and prepping for the thirty-one baby steps! I broke both my feet in 2019, and have been slowly recovering (just started driving my car again this week). We had to sell my house and now I live alone in the 2000-square-foot “family house” which is buried under five generations of stuff. But my shoes are on and my sink is clean! Finding you and Dana and Dawn has been life-changing for me! I’m so ready for this! Thank you!
Hello Dianne! Back again for your sage words on 22nd July 2023! I always love when you say something that I desperately need to hear, but don’t expect to happen. Thanks for your encouragement and your constant positive attitude towards starting today afresh and forgetting about yesterday’s muddles. 💜
Hello, wonderful Diaine! I”m writing in March of 2024; I”m enjoying and benefitting from this video as much as I did the first time I viewed it, several years ago! I enjoy your current 3X per week schedule so much, that I thought I would supplement it with taking a bit of afternoon coffee/self-care time too revisit your beginning 31 steps series. I knew I’d enjoy it, but didn’t realize how helpful it would be to walk back through the beginner’s fundamentals, just as ballet dancers go to the barre each morning. It’s 12;40 PM right now, but when I finish my coffee, I’m going to hop up and shine my (already pretty shiny) sink…. One of many things I’ve learned from you is the value of not stopping at viewing and wishing, but going on to do the steps you demonstrate. Cheers, and Rah Rah Rah!
I'm going to start doing this babysteps i'm a single father that never even learned how to clean and my house is a complete mess and i really dont know where to turn anymore.
The shining sink is really a good start. It's not chaotic nor dirty in my home, but I'm horribly overworked...and then it's easy to let yourself go a bit. These rituals help to consider yourself and your home as worthy af affection...
Welcome to the team, Kelly! :-) Yes, the Flylady system is being used by many males around the globe. It's an easy way to get rid of clutter in your home and get rid of the chaos in your head/life. Good luck!
There is nothing more fun (for me), than to watch these type of videos, put them on pause, and do the same for my home! Yours is the very first one that I've watched that encourages you to basically do the same! What a very pleasant kitchen you have, and I love your outfit too! I'm a new subscriber!
I started the babysteps a couple weeks ago, and I can feel and see a difference. And my husband noticed too! I'm amazed at how much difference the little steps make. It seems like it's "a lot to do" starting the steps, the routines, etc., but once they're in place, they "fly" by, and suddenly, there's nothing to straighten up in a room or two - which feels really strange at first, LOL. But it's great. I'm fighting the urge to jump into zones - I know I'll judge myself and backslide if I do. The steps are working. The weekly blessing is next. Just a little bit at a time - one thing more than zero (like you say), and it has impact
As a new flylady I was a little concerned I wouldn't be able to afford a coach and used that as an excuse..than I stumbled across you and found the perfect coach for free..as I look at my shiny sink tonight I feel like a made an awesome new friend all the way from Denmark..thank you on be half of all of us cheap flyladies for cheering us on
Thank you for helping me.. I got my book yesterday. I’m so sad and overwhelmed. I instantly see why baby steps are the beginning. Its agony to do the sink. But I can’t live like this anymore. ❤️
I must say this is lifechanging. I've been working with elderly and handicapped people for some years now, and had only the rare weekends or holidays to make everything as lovely as I wish at my own home. With the flylady system I've come to appreciate my home and....myself! Thank you for your great videos.
I am one of those people who panic when people come over. And when I have cleaned my house top to bottom I promise myself to keep up with it but always fall off the wagon. I had heard of Flylady years ago, but never really followed the program. Now with helpful YOutube videos like yours I feel like I am not alone in this and can finally start properly following FlyLady. Thank you! Sink done, that's one box in my planner ticked for today. ;)
A quick and eco-friendly way to thoroughly clean the sink is to first rinse the sink well with water, spray down with straight vinegar, bottom, sides, the entire sink and let it sit for a bit. Then sprinkle on baking soda and scrub out any stains or stuck on bits, the drain, etc. Then rinse with water and finish off with a pour of boiling water, dry it, then spray on rubbing alcohol or pour a little on a rag and buff to a nice clean shine. This is a thorough cleaning and disinfecting that leaves the sink spotless and really only takes a few minutes. If you just need to spiff it up a bit then you can skip the boiling water, drying out and rubbing alcohol finish.
I felt like a crazy person, using my nice dish towel to wipe out my sink, but I have to admit, it looks so nice and it does make me smile in the morning! I start the day not feeling behind. ☺️
I did it! This is my follow up to the Seven day routines challenge. I had such resistance to this; even when I tried in the past I refused to listen to do the simple instructions. Tonight was my night! I am relishing the thought that I don't have to repeat this again. All I have to do is keep it wiped out! I am so giddy about this!! Good night fly family. 😃
This just came up again in my feed.. ..since watching your vlogs I’ve shined my sink each night (instead of occasionally) just can’t go to bed now without shinning my sink: it’s like going to bed without brushing my teeth.. just have to get back up and do it.. a couple of mins and all the difference to how I feel especially in the morning. ...good mood lifter next day Hugs Di in Oz 😃
December 31, 2017, baby steps day 1 begins January 1, 2018. For the last few months I have been mentally planning how to take my life back and make our home more comfortable for my family. I just came across your channel over the past few days and now I know how to at least begin. I now have hope and a plan. Happy New Year to you and all the other Fly Babies like me. PS my favorite video was of your winter swimming, so refreshing.
Sherry Graham Yea! Hope it's going well, Sherry! I love the idea of building routines, and adding a bit as we can. Seeing a timer is one of my favorite "tools" for flying! 🌹
Thank you so much for using vinegar! I use non-toxic and cheap products like white vinegar, baking soda, lemons, etc. Baking soda is a good alternative to dry or liquid abrasive cleaners. For HEAVY DUTY abrasion, like to scour grills or oven racks, you can use salt if the baking soda isn't enough. Just don't use salt on surfaces that can be damaged if scratched! You can also use baking soda & vinegar to keep sinks from clogging. Pour some baking soda in the drain, followed by the vinegar, and put a rubber stopper over it to make it expand into the pipe where you want it, rather than up into the sink. Leave it sit for 30 minutes or so and then flush it out with boiling water.
Strangely enough I found you yesterday - the 27th of July. The date you mention. I was flying several years ago and stopped.Looking forward to shining my sink in a few minutes.
I see how important the sink is in this system, and I get it. I'm going to start by buying a sink organizer which is going to make a big difference right away. =)
Hi Diane, thank you for this video. All I have done so far is the first step, but can’t believe the difference it makes to wake up to a tidy kitchen sink. Inevitably I tidy the rest of my (small) kitchen up.
Hi Diane, I am working my baby steps. I have been marking my shiny sink days off on a calendar in my planner. Only missed one day so far this month and that was intentional because I cleaned the sink and started the dishwasher before we went out for a date night, but then the babysitter let the kids have a special dessert and left a few dishes. I thought that was ok to leave those for the morning. I am feeling very successful!
idi0002: Hello Diane, so, now here I am back starting again with the 31 babysteps. I am already now looking forward to watching them. Today was really difficult to do the washing up aprox 1 or 2 hours throughout the whole day. On Saturdays and Sundays we use more than on the other days the sink and use more dishes and so on. In addition I did not clean up yesterday. But I wanted to be ready to make the comment: all has done
I stayed up past my bedtime last night so I could ring in the new year with a partially clean house this morning. I had my sink shiny when I got up. I can't wait to do these baby steps with you!! Thanks for making these videos. 2018 is going to bring a lot of change for us!
So I found you through another cleaning youtube site that mentioned fly lady. You're are the most methodical and I can understand. Thank you for the clarity. I shined my sink today. Of course I'm going to go through all the baby steps. It seems that the first thing is to create a habit through the steps. Before starting Zones you must declutter all these areas first? Also I saw no mopping at all.
Hi Marci! If you want to start zone work, that is fine. But the main thing is to be consistent with the babysteps before you add anything else to your routine. Mopping is part of our Weekly Home Blessing hour.
Thanks Diane for a well explained and non-judgemental video. I appreciate you stating to use what you have and that you explained why washing the dishes does not need to occur first. What I am willing to try: - Boiling water - Vinegar - Maintaining the sink with a mild cleanser (initial/deep cleaning would be with Bar Keepers Friend) What I do differently: - 4:05 I don't use the same scrubber/rag/sponge that is used for dishes (and even the countertop) to clean the sink because sinks are filled with germs. - 4:25 I keep my sink scrubber under the sink and not on the counter top so that it is not used for dishes. - 4:18 The closer to the stopper, the more germs are present, therefore, it is more hygenic to clean from the top-down. I start with around the sink, then the faucet, then the sink walls, then the sink bottom. The stopper would be last as sink/shower drains have as much or more germs than the inside of a toilet bowl.
Nyx773 I think perfection stops us all. Was it really necessary to say you don’t like this and that. She is trying to help people get motivated and get started. Perhaps if you have something you don’t agree with you keep it to yourself vs trying to make someone else feel bad that they aren’t doing it the way you think is right.
@@collef1136 1) I never stated "I don't like". I never scolded. I was not unkind. I never stated that I was "right". I never stated that she was doing it wrong. 2) I didn't use any "you" statements in my disagreements. I only used "I" and "me" statements to state what 'I' would do differently and why 'I' think that way. It is inappropriate to disagree using "you" statements because it comes across as attacking. 3) Since Diane gave my comment a "heart", I take that to mean that not only was she not offended, but that she appreciated my comment. Note: Unlike some UA-camrs, she does not give out hearts to every comment. 4) Since I have 3 thumbs up, I take that to mean that other people agree and/or were inspired to clean their sink in a more hygienic manner. Perhaps I prevented an illness? 5) I can't "make" anybody feel a certain way. It is the other person's choice. 6) Overall, I choose my words carefully. One reason is to make sure that I don't come across as a HYPOCRITE, e.g. someone who is being a textbook example of what they are stating is wrong about another person's comment.
I have come here on the recommendation of the Secret Slob. Have only watched a few seconds of your video but I can tell already this is going to be wonderful! What a lovely sweater!
Hello Diane, I just watched and was encouraged anew by your Step One video. Thank you! Since I just joined the email list recently and reading the book 'Sink Reflections' more recently, and subscribed to your videos, I'm confident the routines will stick. Thanks for your help.
I have two kitchens so I have double the work but that’s why I get so overwhelmed. Thanks so much for these videos. Just got one sink done. We have hard water so I had a lot of scraping around edges to do. We are looking into water softeners so that will help
Now that spring looks like it's finally here, I'm going to try to get back on track. I did FlyLady a few years back, but since then I started a new job and my husband retired, so he has been helping with the house. But I really feel like I've lost touch with my house. I'm going to go shine my sink now and fix my lunches for the next couple days. Thanks for the lovely videos.
since accidentally finding all these flylady videos ive been so inspired to start so i did that today. while watching your videos youve mentioned mean people making negative remarks. i find you to be delightful. thank you so much for all the tips and for venturing into the dressing your truth information. I started doing that about 3 years ago and i always feel good now, i feel confident in my clothes and no longer feel like im over or under dressed, dressed to dowdy or too young, too trendy or just plain weird. thank you so much my new best friend.
Hi Diane, I live in the UK and have health issues including mobility, the weeks fly by like they are days, soo having coming to your channel, I have decided to start again. I started the fly lady programme a few years ago, but didn't finish the steps, just dived in AND FAILED. This time with the help of UA-cam and your channel I am starting again. so here I am at 11.30pm tut tut, just going to shine my sink.
Some days ago I restarted with step 1 of the baby steps...It really was fun to wash my dishes in a CLEAN sink... Very nice this written text in the video. So I may watch in the evening and don't disturb my husband.
I liked the whole week to clear up and to clean up my sink at the end of the days. While doing this, I put every time a new thin dish cloth under the dish drainer, most of the times in the evening and one time in the morning
Dear Diane, thank you for showing me I didn't have to fill my sink full. I live in a motorhome without running water so filling my sink to the brim made me cringe. Now I can take this babystep without the dred.
Starting over....I keep jumping ahead and skipping steps. Thinking: I don't need to get dressed to shoes, or...no need to pick out my outfit...etc. So I'm starting over, following your videos. Last night I shined my sink following your video. Will watch day 2 today and do whatever you say!
Good morning Diane! Loved the video. I first came across the FlyLady about twelve years ago. Pre UA-cam so as l re-boot my habits it’s fantastic to watch a short video to start the day. All the best, Angela 👍🏽
As a sufferer of 'cant have anyone over' syndrome because of my chaotic grubby home, I am actually excited! Starting Day 1...going to 'find' my sink so I can polish it 😃 Thank you (Aug 5th '19)
I'm just watching this two days behind you. Glad I'm not the only one doing the time warp with her flylady videos lol. They call newbies flybabies. (Aren't those maggots? Lol)..Good luck to us both!
Today I just bought a new control journal but I am gonna start over this baby steps (never got past the 2nd 1 though) his time I am gonna do it with and with you I will build my journal InshaAllah (God Willing)
Wonderful! Subscribed. I used the flylady system years ago to get my mother's home in order after she passed away. It was total chaos and clutter ànd I was overwhelmed. Since I inherited the house and want to retire there it was imperative to get it in working order. The system works and the house is now beautiful, calm, and organized. Ready for me to retire there in two years. I use it now as a vacation home. Fast forward to now and the flat I'm living in is completely out of control. I was in a bad accident and was unable to care for my flat properly. I find myself overwhelmed again. Somehow I forgot how useful and effective the flylady system is. Duh. Need a little help getting started because the task seems so daunting. So happy to have found you. I will let you guide me and together I know I can do it. Thank you.
Hi FlyLady Diane! I'm on board with trying the FlyLady, and I just watched your #1 video for sink shining. I must say... your sink starting out is so far ahead of mine when it's just been cleaned! The problem for me us hard water deposits that I've yet to find a solution for. Needless to say, because my sink never looks clean, I've found that I never feel motivated to clean it. It will not shine. I'm defeated before I even begin. I don't want to be this way with my kitchen sink any longer because it's so true what FlyLady says: if your kitchen sink and kitchen are not clean, the remainder of the house falls apart. Please, please help me.
Hi Darla! All we are doing is putting one foot in front of the other and making progress. One of the key parts of Flylady is letting go of perfectionism...don't focus on the 'shiny' part. Just dry out your sink every evening after dinner and keep the area clear. You can do it!
Diane in Denmark Thanks Diane for getting back to me. Yes I do appreciate the non-perfectionism attitude! What I've done is just modified the step...a little. I went online and found a vinegar recipe for hard water scale. It actually works!!! First time a combination of time and product worked for this issue. So, I'm going to spend a little extra time each day on the scale removal, and then finish up with the sink shining. That way the scale will get taken care of and I can still work my steps. I must say the fact you use vinegar in your sink cleaning may have encouraged me to try the vinegar scale remedy. So....thank you!!!
Thank you so much your show is just what I need. I think you're wonderful! Please keep going with your show you are very talented at helping people and I think your channel will go very far :-) I appreciate you sharing the great tips.
I’m so grateful for your help Dianne!!! I just shined my sink and down loaded the flylady plus app. I find it a bit overwhelming. Too much info at once. I think I will continue to follow you for the 31 baby steps. For some reason I starting having anxiety. Bless you for being so kind and guiding. Only someone who truly knows what it is like could guide so efficiently. 😘❤️❤️❤️❤️
I started the babysteps last year, but I did a couple at the time and they did not sink in. So I decided to start the babysteps again one at the time... Watching the videos one day at the time and be payient. I started 1st. of November so I will be done in December ready for Christmas :)
What’s a good way to get rid of calcium deposits that have built up around the bottom of kitchen faucet? My sink is shining, except for this one little issue.
Thanks for the videos! I just discovered you and am starting right now! Thanks for your lovely personality. Also, I LOVE your sink. I like the area where you can sit your dishes that are waiting to go in the sink, clever.
I got such a kick out of it, I haven't even watched the video yet but had to comment. You said 'you may be finding us the 1st of January or you my be finding us th-th-th 27th of July. It was totally random for you, but I found flylady yesterday, and sure enough......that was the 27th of July. 😂 Maybe I'm meant to be here. Haha
Thank you for doing this... I was a flybaby quite a few years ago.. and then life got a bit difficult. So I can't do it on my own. Thanks for being here. It's been years since I've had anyone over. We plan to move in about 6 years or so and I want to be ready. I've moved once already and it was soo hard. 5/28/2020 PS... I shined part of my sink the other day.... but I still had dishes on the counter. I had enough of how it looked. It did help me a lot. So tonight I will load the dishwasher and wash dishes tomorow ... get it all shine sink tomorow.
The zink was never an issue for me, but for periods my husband took over as i was ill, and he thought he was cleaning the zink and left the same teatowels for weeks i found out later
as somebody who struggles with ocd, even this is difficult for me. what exactly did you do to make it clean? is it clean from bacteria or just shiny? also, i can see you used a brush, am i suppose to toss it out, because my sink is disgusting. are you going to use that brush now to clean the dishes, or do you have a separate brush? you only cleaned the inside of the sink, but i have a bunch of water deposit and grime at the bottom of handle, how do i clean that? yes these questions are stopping me from just doing the baby step, but i get panic attacks otherwise...
Hi Ayu Umi! I would suggest that you don't stress over this step, simply dry out the sink after dinner and keep the area clear. The purpose is to have a clean area that we can maintain. Hope that helps!
Back to basics, a refresher time after I had my baby. So reassuring to see your videos again Diane, like a mum taking me by he hand once again- I hope we can still do this, despite the new chaos of motherhood! Sending you big love from London xx
Unfortunately there are busy evenings because of kids' activities and the kitchen isn't cleaned at bed time. (Sometimes I stay up to clean it, but most times I'm too tired. )Should I make sure the kitchen is cleaned before wiping down the sink, or just forget about the dishes , stove top and counters and at least get my sink cleaned before going to bed? Thanks
Hi Karen! Just remove anything that is in the sink and wipe it out (shouldn't take more than 15 seconds). I talk about it more in detail when we get further into the babysteps, but a great tip I learned from Flylady was to clear the counters/wash up as you are prepping/cooking dinner. Fill up the sink with soapy water before you start and put everything in the dishwasher/wash up as you go along. That way, when dinner is eaten, all you need to deal with are the plates/cutlery/glasses. Good luck!
I just stumbled across you in my recommended feed and I'm Soo happy! I used to follow flylady about 10 years ago but life got in the way. Nowadays, I'll kill myself by deep cleaning my place from top to bottom. Then when it's spotless I'll just ignore the whole thing for weeks and then I'm back at square one. It's not working. I'm ready for change
Hi Diane, I've done this and the sink looks a bit cleaner but only up until where the water is. I''ve got a brown line around teh rim of the link Also my draining board has got weird stuff on it. Maybe water marks or soap marks? I've tried bleach/flash kitchen but still not working Also what do i do about my washing up bowl and my draining board? My draining board looks very dirty too? Do I throw it and buy a new one or do I try and clean it?
Hej Diane. Hvis du har tid, lyst, overskud er du så sød at forklare mig hvordan jeg laver zonerne om så det passer til mit hjem- på danks🙈 skal det være bestemte typer rum i div 5 zoner el kan jeg bare selv bytte ud ? Rigtig god dag.
Today is May 1st and I am reading Flylady's 31 Babysteps book From Chaos to Clean (yaaay) so what a great idea, let's re-watch the videos, follow along with the book refresh my perspective - thanks Diane for doing this!
Hi Dianne. My sink is soaking as I type this and I wanted to say thanks for the video. Maybe it has to do with turning 40 a few months ago but I have big plans for this year and its all starting with a clean sink and a decluttered porch!
+Ducks n Stuff How exciting! Take it slow and remember to go easy on yourself. Celebrate each babystep. We can do this - together!

Good luck with the babysteps, Tammy! 🎉
I'm going to start doing this babysteps i'm a single father that never even learned how to clean and my house is a complete mess and i really dont know where to turn anymore.
Good luck, David! The steps aren't difficult at all...it's being consistent with them that is the tricky part! LOL
Hi David , did it help you?
I just found the system and start now 4 yrs to late.
But better late than never
@@therealakkherself1296 I started Thursday evening. Diane did a series in 2020 on Instagram. She posted the videos here on UA-cam as well.

Hello Diane, restarting the baby steps and fighting perfectionism.
Thank you
Yay, glad to *see* you, Ranya! Hugs! xo

Katarina S. Our sink is porcelain, and 20 yrs old. A stainless steel sink would be heaven!
Yay - go Jana!!!
It took me allllllll day long but, I'm finally relaxing tonight with a shiny sink. Thank you so much for you help! The videos really help!
+Kristin Gail Woo hoo, go You, Kristin!!!
This just came up again in my feed..
..since watching your vlogs I’ve shined my sink each night (instead of occasionally) just can’t go to bed now without shinning my sink: it’s like going to bed without brushing my teeth.. just have to get back up and do it.. a couple of mins and all the difference to how I feel especially in the morning. ...good mood lifter next day
Hugs

December 31, 2017, baby steps day 1 begins January 1, 2018. For the last few months I have been mentally planning how to take my life back and make our home more comfortable for my family. I just came across your channel over the past few days and now I know how to at least begin. I now have hope and a plan. Happy New Year to you and all the other Fly Babies like me. PS my favorite video was of your winter swimming, so refreshing.
Sherry Graham
Yea! Hope it's going well, Sherry! I love the idea of building routines, and adding a bit as we can. Seeing a timer is one of my favorite "tools" for flying! 🌹
I found this on July 22, 2019. Starting the baby steps.
Out of curiosity what's your status :)
I was always caught up with not having the right materials or products. thanks for emphasising it's not important
Yes, we don't need any more products! LOL
Me too!!@!
Waking up to a shiny sink. Thanks for the app suggestion. I love all the light in your kitchen, Diane.
I have shined my sink today without having washed my dishes. But the sink is shining
Happy New Year, Diane! I am very happy that you teach us babysteps from Denmark too. Greetings from Spain.
@@DianeinDenmark I believe what I am going to do is follow the 31 steps and build a routine.
Thanks Diane for a well explained and non-judgemental video. I appreciate you stating to use what you have and that you explained why washing the dishes does not need to occur first.
What I am willing to try:
- Boiling water
- Vinegar
- Maintaining the sink with a mild cleanser (initial/deep cleaning would be with Bar Keepers Friend)
What I do differently:
- 4:05 I don't use the same scrubber/rag/sponge that is used for dishes (and even the countertop) to clean the sink because sinks are filled with germs.
Welcome to the gang!
Thank you, I tried this before but got overwhelmed now I’m ready to start again following your 31 day baby steps.
I am starting today. My house is such a mess and everything seems overwhelming, but this one thing seems manageable for today.
Hope the Flylady system is working well for you, Miles!
thank you for making the series of videos. I will follow along for 31 days of FlyLady babysteps.
+GEORGIA Nyman You are very welcome, Georgia!
Starting fresh today with you and Steph. Thank you for keeping your videos up.
Hello Diane, I just watched and was encouraged anew by your Step One video. Thank you! Since I just joined the email list recently and reading the book 'Sink Reflections' more recently, and subscribed to your videos, I'm confident the routines will stick. Thanks for your help.
Welcome to the Team, J Miller! Let us know how you get on :-)
I have two kitchens so I have double the work but that’s why I get so overwhelmed.
Yay, I'm so glad you're enjoying both Flylady system and Dressing Your Truth!
Wow! Found this Dec 31, 2019. I’ll be going into 2020 prepared, thank you!
I did it! I shined my sink!!!
Well done, Heidi! 😀
Hey! I'm re starting flylady with you in June 2021! I'm so excited, thank you Diane, I absolutely love your enthusiasm and energy 🎉🎉🎉
Go you! 👋🤩
@@DianeinDenmark 💃 xx
Hi Diane, I live in the UK and have health issues including mobility, the weeks fly by like they are days, soo having coming to your channel, I have decided to start again. I started the fly lady programme a few years ago, but didn't finish the steps, just dived in AND FAILED. This time with the help of UA-cam and your channel I am starting again. so here I am at 11.30pm tut tut, just going to shine my sink.
Good luck, Elaine, you are doing this! 👏🎉
While doing this, I put every time a new thin dish cloth under the dish drainer, most of the times in the evening and one time in the morning
my sink is clean
My sink is shining
I cleaned my sink this evening
I was ill for one week and 5 days and a half in hospital. Now let's restart!!!!!
You are delightful! Thank you for making this video as I am on a mission to declutter this year and I've already started..
I am doing this again as am in a slump and I know following your routines help a lot .
Well done, Heather! 🤩
Yay, welcome to the gang, Rachel!
Oh my god this is what I'm looking for... 31 babysteps from youtuber. Thank you so much! I've registered to flylady web but it's so overwhelming
I’m so glad I discovered you! I tried watching another FL UA-camr but couldn’t get on board. Your videos are exactly what I need! Thank you!
Today I just bought a new control journal but I am gonna start over this baby steps (never got past the 2nd 1 though) his time I am gonna do it with and with you I will build my journal InshaAllah (God Willing)
You are amazing supportive😊❤
Thank you so much for the video encouragement! So helpful to get me fluttering again after many years back in CHAOS.
Yay, glad to have you with us!
I do love a shiny sink
I am starting these again . They ate always a great weat for me to get back on track. Thank you 😊
Wonderful, Heather! 😍
Wonderful! Thank you.
Yay, that's great, Victoria - before you know it, you will be flying along again!
OK! I have put off shining my sink for a week now but after watching your video I amgoing to do it now!
Thanks, Cottage Keeper and glad to have you on the Team! :-)
Cottage
I love routines, especially when it comes to cleaning and organizing! I can't wait to try it out!
I started 1st. of November so I will be done in December ready for Christmas :)
thank you ! this is great Diane ...
What’s a good way to get rid of calcium deposits that have built up around the bottom of kitchen faucet? My sink is shining, except for this one little issue.
Baking soda into your garbage disposal (in the sink) pour in vinegar, it will clean the disposal, super fun to watch it foam
Thanks for the videos! I just discovered you and am starting right now! Thanks for your lovely personality. Also, I LOVE your sink. I like the area where you can sit your dishes that are waiting to go in the sink, clever.
A little late but excited to go on my journey!
It's never too late! Welcome aboard!
I got such a kick out of it, I haven't even watched the video yet but had to comment. You said 'you may be finding us the 1st of January or you my be finding us th-th-th 27th of July.
It was totally random for you, but I found flylady yesterday, and sure enough......that was the 27th of July. 😂
Maybe I'm meant to be here. Haha
Happy New Year! I'm done, thanks Diane!
How often should we do this though? I wouldn’t think we need to deep clean with boiling water and vinegar that much everyday for sure...
Just the very first day. After that we are simply keeping the sink empty.
My sink is clean and shiny. Check! Thanks!
Here I am again, starting day one on 21 January, nearly eleven in the evening, my sink is shiny and i'm gonna be hitting the hay.
Good night.
+Ranya Ziko Go, Ranya! 💖🎉
PS...
Good luck!
I did it! I did it! I shined my sink!!!!!
Well done, Mhairi - just keep taking those babysteps!
Just discovered your channel and love your videos so far 😀
Just subscribed and am doing this, even though it's already started
Hi Amber and welcome! Don't worry - you can start these videos at *any* time of the month/year. You are never behind! :-)
This is great, I need to do this and follow all the baby steps. Thank you!
Thank you Dianne, I have been trying to do flylady for years, she is awesome and It is so helpful to have your encouragement!
Hi Diane, I've done this and the sink looks a bit cleaner but only up until where the water is.
I''ve got a brown line around teh rim of the link
Also my draining board has got weird stuff on it. Maybe water marks or soap marks?
I've tried bleach/flash kitchen but still not working
Also what do i do about my washing up bowl and my draining board?
My draining board looks very dirty too? Do I throw it and buy a new one or do I try and clean it?
Sink Is clean 👍😘❤️
Love your kitchen sink caddy for your dish brush! May I ask where you got it, or what brand it is?
I love mine - very practical! If you google Rig-Tig sink caddy holder you should find it straight away... It's designed by Stelton (a Danish brand).
Flylady Diane Denmark i was going to ask the same . Trying clear off the clutter around the sink lol
Hej Diane.
Hvis du har tid, lyst, overskud er du så sød at forklare mig hvordan jeg laver zonerne om så det passer til mit hjem- på danks🙈 skal det være bestemte typer rum i div 5 zoner el kan jeg bare selv bytte ud ?
Rigtig god dag.
Thanks for sharing!! I'm going to watch all your videos!! I started a few days ago!!
Great video, will try this tonight. I love your earrings by the way.
Thank you - they will be appearing again soon! ;-)
Today is May 1st and I am reading Flylady's 31 Babysteps book From Chaos to Clean (yaaay) so what a great idea, let's re-watch the videos, follow along with the book refresh my perspective - thanks Diane for doing this!
Great idea!
