Saying that, we do slow it down and wait for opponents to catch up a lot when we have a good chance to push, so we need to find the right balance. I can't really blame any players for this draw. It was interesting to see a slight variation on the formation again. In build up Cucu would make a third CB and Caicedo a DM, as we are use to. In the rest position when the ball is in the final third rather than a 3 2 we became a 2 3 with Cucu stepping forward next to Lavia. I.e. Cucu Lavia Caicedo hovering ready to win the ball back. The 2 CB’s sweeping behind. It helped massively in winning the ball back and dominating possession in the first half.
I feel like the fitness of this team is dire. Jackson needs to be benched for a good run of games or at least play Felix, our frontline is absolutely average when it comes to actually scoring goals. - Sancho creates and I think he has been consistent at that but doesn't score enough. - I am honestly not seeing what either Madueke and Neto are offering this team. Madueke is barely beating his man to create chances and he scored all his goals at Wolves. Neto is just like Sancho, creates but doesn't score enough. He has good crosses but who is putting those away? - Palmer is the only shining light in terms of actually scoring goals. He creates loads as well but others barely finish those off. Sure, he goes quiet as the game progresses but we can actually afford a player going quiet if we make his goal efforts count. - Our midfielders barely shoot or create chances to shoot. We can't wait for Jackson forever, get a SERIOUS No. 9 who can force goals, get at the end of crosses and actually bully defenders!!! That position is screaming an "Osimhen" profile to me. This is the same Team that rose to second place in the league last year and we were beating all these teams and scoring goals for fun. They’ve got enough to make top 4.Maresca just needs to be bolder make substitutes earlier and give the likes of Felix and Nkunku more of an opportunity by finding a system that works for them .

It was interesting to see a slight variation on the formation again. In build up Cucu would make a third CB and Caicedo a DM, as we are use to. In the rest position when the ball is in the final third rather than a 3 2 we became a 2 3 with Cucu stepping forward next to Lavia. I.e. Cucu Lavia Caicedo hovering ready to win the ball back. The 2 CB’s sweeping behind. It helped massively in winning the ball back and dominating possession in the first half.
I feel like the fitness of this team is dire. Last season we had soo much energy and players were pressing in each game whilst this season we look slow and lethargic. we need to move away from this possession based football aswell as we're much better playing counter attacking football. look at last season we had soo many exciting games coz we were more of a counter attacking team. Jackson needs to be benched for a good run of games or at least play Felix, our frontline is absolutely average when it comes to actually scoring goals.
- Sancho creates and I think he has been consistent at that but doesn't score enough.
- I am honestly not seeing what either Madueke and Neto are offering this team. Madueke is barely beating his man to create chances and he scored all his goals at Wolves. Neto is just like Sancho, creates but doesn't score enough. He has good crosses but who is putting those away?
- Palmer is the only shining light in terms of actually scoring goals. He creates loads as well but others barely finish those off. Sure, he goes quiet as the game progresses but we can actually afford a player going quiet if we make his goal efforts count.
- Our midfielders barely shoot or create chances to shoot.
We can't wait for Jackson forever, get a SERIOUS No. 9 who can force goals, get at the end of crosses and actually bully defenders!!! That position is screaming an "Osimhen" profile to me.
And again, we need to steady our mentality as the game goes on, it's like watching a different team in the second half!
