Not only that, but an utterly captivating speaker, performer, and an interesting human being, with so much soul, depth and complexity, and eternal wisdom beyond her years. I could go on 8^)

So much beauty and talent in one person, thank you, You Tube...without which I would never have been able to enjoy Vienna Teng.

Green Island Serenade and later on an excellent solo version of Blue Caravan with the audience providing the sound effects. Thanks for posting this.

Green Island Serenade is one of those songs that I simply cannot skip if it comes up on my ipod. And it represents a whole lot to me beyond the understanding of the words. I'm trying out with Eric's Song for college choir this fall, which is one of my most cherished songs that she's written and I sang Soon Love Soon, which is about a long term hope for peace, with my closest friends in my choir show last spring. Vienna has a wonderful way of thinking, writing, and expressing herself.

I completely agree. There was an American culture, with values, and morals, from a time gone by (at least since the 60s or 70s I would argue) and it seems as if it is lost and we will never be the same. I feel some certain sadness that we will no longer be the great nation we once were. People will still want to immigrate here, but they will likely never know or understand what made this country what it is (or what it once was), and why they are really coming here. Greed was definitely the cause

  • @pwg1126

How interesting, that is how I fill about the USA. We can't seem to go back to the good old days when americans could have a good job that had security and your high school diploma is all you needed along with your values of hard work and love for family. Today a child has a future of 16 years of school or more, followed by work that may last until you are 70. Why did we let greep ruin the dream. Money is the God we must not kneel to.

Love the first song! However, Taiwan is not a country though .. for your information, the official name of country that now resides on the island of Taiwan is still the Republic of China. It's on the passport, its biils, the residents' id cards, etc.

    • @samanthaweps4215

Just cause china took them over doesn't mean they wanted, or ascribe, to it.

    • @Shiyaroku4869
      @Shiyaroku4869 6 років тому +4

Actually the "Republic of China" is different from the "People's Republic of China". While the first is the name the Taiwanese government chose for a Taiwanese state, the latter is the term used by the mainland Chinese government to describe all areas they believe belong to "One China".
However, stating that Taiwan is not a country sounds a bit like announcing the US is not a country because it's should be "United States of America".
