This was Clapton Guitarist George Terry's Music Man Stingray II before Ernie Ball 1984 that was played during the tours 1976 and recordings of Slowhand 1977 and others. This 1976 gem that was played during the taping of The Old Grey Whistle Test in London 1977 and especially recording of "Lay Down Sally"....This was given to the band and this was George's favorite hobby to get perfect...This was made for George as Eric Clapton was sponsored as well as George...This is the guitar!!!! Feels and plays like a master would have it!!! This and all that goes with it is quite the package....
George Terry was a great player in his day....a master guitarist.so meticulous about creating great sounds....but in old age he lost his way.....but the guitar still shines on!!!! Still amazing for me to look at!!!...Time to move on.....
Just a note: There are some EC guitars I have seen for sale recently....Eric was always given a lot of guitars ...he has a guitar tech that tuned them and he played around with them...but when it comes time to play the master work...he stuck to the few like the one on the Old Grey Whistle Test...he played that one night after night back then...just like George did..when you find the right one....it feels so right you never put it down...George loved tweaking and making his guitar all about the feel...this guitar was the sacred one...I wish I played guitar with that kind of talent..There is a difference you can feel...Isn't music all about the feel and sound???? Yep!...With Love...PS..I need this to buy land to save my horses......Good deal all around....

George played those lovely lead breaks on 'Sign Language' with this guitar on The Old Grey Whistle Test with EC and band, 1977. I've always thought that was the best version of the classic Clapton/Dylan song.

Can't find anyone with the touch...will keep looking..but thanks..I know..the video of George on Old Grey Whistle Test is the guitar and how it sounds....we wanted to pull it out of the case and check the buttons and switches....Be well...and thank you

Leo was really disappointed the Stingray guitars flopped. It should have never had a preamp in it
