I have to admit, I did not have high expectations for how your mod was going to turn out. But after listening to the results.... you need to take a well deserved bow. Sounds awesome! 😮👍
Nice mod.. !! Headfirst is fantastic.. that Alta amp is awesome as well.. gives me hope that I could build this amp as well.. I have some skills bot not a lot.. did you consider to use a mini-toggle instead of full size for that option?.. might get tripped by accident.. the boost sounded great.. and the MOD gave it more of a Jubilee gritty tone.. love that.. !!
@bjstein Thank you so much for the kind words! Headfirst amplification deos make some awsom gear. I havent personally tested on but it would be awsome to do so. It's awesome to heat that my project has inspired you to build your own amp! Remember, every expert was once a beginner, with some skills and a bit of patience, you can definitely create something amazing! This is the third amp I have bult. My first one was the most difficult. I burned a transformer on the first go. You just have to double check and triple check to make sure everithing is done correctly. With this amp I made a few mistaks but they where not catastrophic. You just have to learn from your mistakes, which will happen, and drive on. Also, always be mindful of the lethal current in this types of amps. Dont forget to discharge the capacitors befor sticking your finger in the amp!!! You should check out D-lab youtube channel, Ihave also learned a lot from him!!
Classic!
Nice sounding build, you have everything you need now to rock. 👍
Thank you!
