    Thanks Kevin and I’ve been looking for the conversion kit as well before I bought one. Seems simple enough too.

    Does the converter hose good for all backstone models? I have a 22” blackstone

    The Omnivore griddle top uses a newer kit 5395 with 1.55mm orifices. The older legacy griddle top uses the older kit 5249 with 2.0mm orifices. This is not a well known fact and many of the older kits are out there being sold and installed into new Omnivore versions.

    I believe the 140 degrees was the application limit, performance limit on the RectorSeal is 400 degrees.

    I have the 1.15 and the tool they provided in the conversion kit did not fit, had to use 1/4 in to get out, then the thread gauge did not fit for any of them. Any ideas?

    Do you notice any difference in how it cooks? Propane seems to be a hotter fuel

    • @TheHollarBBQ

      It does heat up faster. But not too much difference.

    Very cool kit, I'd love to do this to mine but I'm constantly moving mine around so it won't work for me. Thanks for sharing.

    We just purchased a Blackstone and bought the conversion kit. We got it all set up and it’s super loud... is this normal?

    • @TheHollarBBQ
      @TheHollarBBQ  3 роки тому

      What do you mean by loud? You can hear the gas more with natural gas.

      @@TheHollarBBQ yeah I wasn’t expecting that and it flamed up pretty bad during seasoning. We’re now thinking maybe we need a regulator.
