Living in Australia recently attended funeral of my dad who is from Wavuna One from Aroma. During the funeral service this music was sang it broke my heart (I don't understand my dad's aroma language) but certainly has brought tears to my eyes again. RIP dad you blessed and resting in your home land safely. Loving thoughts from your daughter
My condolences. For the song, it's about a child who is telling their father on how much they are greatful on how they were raised. As far as I can tell, the name of the song 'Venaunama' translates to "Father raised me well". Some of the lyrics translate to how the father took care of them, provided guidance, shelter and food. Hope I provided some insight on the song for you.
Thank you Rigamole for this wonderful words made me understand what it means in Aroma language. I am proud Aroma lady my late dad's from Maopa No1 village
God bless you. Don't understand the words of this song, but feel the presence of God.Amen. God is here.Amen Keep trusting in your heavenly Father, our heavenly father who loves us so much, who never leaves us not forsake us. God bless you.
Lost my dad in 2002 listening to this song reminds me of his advice and his parenting experience. I miss my family back home gmg, especially my dearest mom. God willingly will meet soon just praying for the right time to come and will back again. Nice song reguards from USA New York.
Even if one is from another province in PNG and is living abroad, any language used in music always brings home closer...
Growing up in Abau amongst my people of Aroma, our music places us amongst the most respectful and resilient amongst the world.
