This woman doesnt sound as though the family were ever close to the aunt, uncle. Meeting uncle in hospital because he was in the hospital in the same area as where she lived? I mean what! Seeing them on Christmas. Catching up on facebook! Come on. What about helping them in their everyday lives, old age, where were they?! She replies and speaks abruptly and aggressively. Something isnt right, i dont think she gave a toss until after the aunty/ uncle died

It’s not her responsibility to look after them. It’s not abnormal to not be close to more distant family but I’m sure they’d rather their money go to her than a scammer.

I can never understand why people fight for what they think is their right to have i would never involve myself in my aunt's will if i wasn't part of her daily life .

Sounds to me as if this man was around doing important errands for the aunt for years when she had nobody else. An aging & poorly lady she needed John and very likely wanted to leave him some money.
The family were happy to allow John to do the appointments & caring until auntie died & left him 25% of her will.
Auntie cut the family out not John or else he would have given himself more than 25%.

@@frankiefranfraser I thought about that aspect, but thats their opinion it was forged, who knows if she asked him to do it? and who his acquaintances & friends were doesnt really matter as half the population are drug users today. He met auntie on the bus, so what? my point is that
they ought to be grateful she had somebody there running her errands, keeping her company & if he was also benefitting why is that so terrible?
People of means have paid for companions forever, its a British institution which has for centuries proven more succesful than marriage.
I think these people were just put out that Auntie put them out of her will
Why did John only give himself 25% ? I think he deserved whatever he got & they were being vindictive.

@@FIONA21ful I agree. I cared for my dad my sisters, didnt care & put him in a home despite the fact he told us all our lives NEVER to put him in a home. I wanted him to stay with me... recent circumstances tells me my sister behind my back did power of Attorney with him. When he died my sister sold his house& didnt tell me. Extremely hurtful!! My dad said before he died that he had a surprise for me... so something tells me he was planning to change his will &leave me more than he left my sisters. However, if my sis had POA he posisbly wouldnt have been able to that🤷🏼‍♀️
My elder sister precisley HATED my dads non english speaking wife from the beginng.
I was grateful he had company& someone to help him. She hated she was all about £££. However, sis werent helping me care for him in final months. Looking back... it seems they were all avout his money. Breaks my heart.
Loved my dad to pieces&that is eternal, so I am the winner in the end🥰🥰
My sister recently tried to go behind my back and do POA for my mum.
She hasn't spent hardly any time with her even though my mum is,struggling.
I have spent many many nights with her past few months &helping with various things.
I only found out about POA she was trying to do (which she has already got her friend to sign as the witness back in July, and my mum hasn't even looked at the form,me neither. Absolutely bonkers). I am not really sure what POAis but I know I need it to help mum with her health appointments etc. She went to GP specifically to get blood results & forgot what they were 😢💔
So.... I am in a bit of a stressful place 😢💔
This video says get solicitor for POA back up.
      Sounds perfect ❤
      Poor mum 😢 💔
This story here makes me wonder though...but your 100% million%%%" right!! FAMILY should look after their elders. None of this would happen.

Sounds like the elderly aunt was left to cope on her own with her relatives leaving it to her to get in touch if she needed help. Whether for honest or fraudulent reasons someone stepped in and helped the aunt get through her remaining years, giving reassurance that someone was there for her. Why would she not leave him her money. Old age is scary when you’re alone. This woman’s detailed over emphasis on the ‘closeness’ of the family to the old lady, speaks volumes.

This ladies story is so similar to mine. Except it was my sister and her family who cohersed my aunt into changing her will. My uncle had no idea as it was a mirror will which is something to watch out for. The most upsetting thing was it spoilt our childhood and family memories
