HI mate just a question. Would the Whiteline rear sway bar hit the rear part of the stock exhaust? cz I have heard people saying that the exhaust needs to be modified a bit to fit the rear sway bar in Civic EK's.
hey brother I have a 2000 honda civic ex it has a problem the acceleration goes up and down I have changed the idle control and the throttle body and it doesn't work If you could help me I would appreciate it
Hi there. Looks good, a question? I have the some job to do on my ek9 and was told I need to also replace the drop forks as well as lower control arms as you shown on your video. Is this true ? Don’t think you mentioned drop forks to replacement as well. Thanks Much appreciated
@@TURBOTRISTO No , it’s a US 1996 civic hatchback Dx model ( ek9 ). So as you did lower control I will also need to, I just read in a few post that drop forks will need replacement as well do to dx model. Thanks for the help
ahhh in australia and japan an ek9 is a type r, but thanks for clearing that up the base model cars do need the arms upgraded to the higher spec arms with the sway bar mounting points
Hey so I have a kswap ek hatch does the front white line sway bar fit I have a integra front subframe with ekk2 mounts ? I heard you say it in the video I’m just trying to confirm 😅 I’m doing the rear disc brake conversion and bushing upgrade and doing a rear white line sway bar the next thing is front bushing upgrade and sway bar
With a Kswap if you intend on swapping the subframe to an eg or dc subframe then you need to purchase a dc2 sway bar, the ek and the eg/dc sway bars are different, but yes you can k swap and keep the ek subframe it’s just a tight fit with the exhaust
@@TURBOTRISTO just checked it thank you..also enjoying your videos on ek civics. Still watching that bolt on breathing mods on the fluoro civic and can’t decide if i should do those bolt ons to mine
I recently did front AND rear sway bars… (22mm front, 24mm rear) drives like an entirely different car now!🤙
It’s a massive difference
Every EK needs this 😮
THEY SURE DO
Sounds like it
I got no sway bars and it's really really bad
Jump on the whitline sway bars
Thanks for making vid! Was deciding what sway bar to get.
100% whiteline all the way
Yes
OH YEAH

I shouldn’t hit the stock exhaust

Spray some bake cleaner around the intake and plenium and throttle body when it’s idling to see if you have vacuum leaks
If the revs go up when you spray the brake cleaner that means you have a leak and you need new gaskets or seals

An ek9 type r? You shouldn’t have to upgrade the arms at all, and the drop forks should be left stock also

Hi Tristan. Where can I buy the d brackets mounts for the whiteline front sway bar?
You use the standard ones or you can buy from the wreckers or from whiteline/superpro
Want to do this for my ek sedan..what’s the total cost for this including all the parts and labour? Im based in Sydney
If you go to the whiteline website they list fitted cost inc labour
