Remember what Rees Mogg said about it 'taking 50 years' to get back to an economy at the same level as it was before leaving the EU? He was right. But then, the Tories have always been about dismantling and selling off 'the family silver' to their friends, who contribute nothing and take their wealth overseas whilst, at the same time, consolidating their power over the ordinary citizens of the UK. I'm a bit confused. The people have the opportunity to vote for other people (some of whom prove to be incompetent) yet lobbying is a means for unelected non-voting entities to shape the laws that are passed on behalf of the electorate? This practice seems to have been in place for eons but is it legal or simply not illegal? MPs are, seemingly, rewarded with lucrative jobs. Some MPs get gongs, and some business managers get Lordships. The HoL and the system of giving OBEs etc needs a major overhaul.
Doesn't sound like you're confused at all; the majority of the British Parliament is unelected. This is the 'sovereignty' we 'voted' for a few years back.
Greed is a pandemic and it needs to be rooted out and condemned. I’m not British, this is the small tip of the iceberg of what is happening and has always been happening on a global scale. We all know it is bad across political ideologies. We all want a thriving economy and competent people in charge. But a system that allows for this sort of favoritism will never allow competence to shine through because it will only go to illuminate their crimes.
It seems English politicians want the political class to be bribable? Just have to be careful who they will be willing to answer to when the going gets tough.
They will just answer to each other. Investigations will never leave the House of Lords. They will draw it out for years until public finds another horrifying story

Well the question is … will the next government (probably Labour) address this travesty against democracy? Clearly the Tories won’t but sadly I’m not convinced that Labour will either.
They'd have the votes, but they also have a problem of Tories stuffing the Lords for years. If they didn't completely empty it and start again then unfortunately they are probably going to have to add more people to it...

I love you Led by Donkeys! Please, please, please keep bringing these truths to public attention. I think you're utterly brilliant in where, when and how you deliver this material, thank you so much.
Doing great job Vorders, keep up the good work. ❤
Great job, these people shouldn't be allowed to get away with it
Brilliantly authoritative as always and a complete overhaul of this cesspit of cronyism is needed ASAP. New broom sweeps clean, please.
Fantastic reporting with Carol V Support Proportional Reporting Voting ‘ make your vote count to get theses crooks out
WOW.... That won’t be appearing on the main stream media ....Well Played !!
Brilliant as always! Hope this is sent to all our MPs!
I get so upset hearing this yet I feel utter despair because the British people just except it and are so apathetic.
Well, let's see how the next general election goes. We'll see if the population have woken up a bit then.
@@jonm7272 Don't trust the polls. You have shy Conservatives and batshits who will vote accordingly on polling day.
@@jonm7272this Countrys' current woes will definitely not improve under a Starmer/Labour regime - if snything, it will be even worse than it is now, and that's going some
@@jamesbarbour8400 Yeh, we keep hearing this from tory shills, based on literally no evidence (and I'm really not interested in your magic predictions for the future).
Despite the Iraq war bullsh*t this country was massively better off under the last Labour government compared to the utter sh*tshow we have now after 14 years of tory parasites and I see no reason to believe that the next Labour government won't similarly improve things for the majority of people. Do feel free to disagree and go waste your vote on Reform or whoever, any vote that goes towards the Farage pantomime is one less for the tories.
@@jamesbarbour8400 I'd be very interested to hear your reasoning to back up your statement. Perhaps, if true, it will be because the country has been put in such a parlous state by the Conservatives over the past decade, that no incoming government will be able to make up the lost ground with any rapidity. To be honest, the Muppets would be better at running the country than this corrupt, incompetent bunch of liars and theives.
How much more can this country take? So much grubby insider dealing etc etc. who is going to stand up to this government and demand a complete overhaul? Predictive text suggested 90% of the foregoing, so I know Ai is with us on this!
Excellent piece of reporting by an excellent organisation. Keep up the good work.
Holy Moly....😮.
These people should all be in jail. Boris included.
Better still send them to Rwanda with no return ticket.
Brilliantly done. 👏🏻
Outstanding work LBD!
I’m ashamed of this country, and its honours system. Jobs for the girls and boys, nothing more or nothing less! Shameful.
Ps. Ref Truss. As a past PM😡, she will get to go to more Remembrance Sundays at the Cenotaph than she was PM for in the 49 days she was in office!!!! Christmas this country is a poo show!
If this doesn’t make you furious you’re not paying enough attention.
Fatastic once again, and just a pity we will never see any of these facts broadcast on the BBC or any of the main news media.
Thank you Carol, your are an absolute wonder.
No matter who they place in those seats, nobody should have a seat for life
Unbelievable, in light of what this house could and should be
Quality of these 😨👀🔥
These people should be in prison 😤 whole Monarchy and parliamentary system needs reforming and adjustments
Abolish it.
Just ABOLISH IT.
I think all peerages should be reviewed by a panel of non voters. People who aren’t affiliated with any one party.
Standing ovation! Well done everyone involved, solid work as always.
Utterly disgraceful and reform is soooo overdue. I'm disgusted by all this cronyism
I wish we'd have a revolution and vote Libitarian. I'm watching Argentina with a close eye at the moment. Their stock market is up 300% and their president is making moves that are refreshing.
Thank you. Keep going, I hope Carol’s support will give LBD more exposure.
God knows what will be needed to get rid of all this corruption.

There can NEVER >= 1 "God"!
Today you could experience your Waterloo!
Carol! The hero we need right now. Can you also please do something on the Haldane Society and their spurious links to politics.
The House of Lords must review the membership and discharge those not fit for the honour bestowed upon them? If they don’t then the House of Lords will find itself being disassembled by public demand!
Well the question is … will the next government (probably Labour) address this travesty against democracy? Clearly the Tories won’t but sadly I’m not convinced that Labour will either.
In a first term it would be incredibly difficult to do
They'd have the votes, but they also have a problem of Tories stuffing the Lords for years.
If they didn't completely empty it and start again then unfortunately they are probably going to have to add more people to it...
Of course not, look at how devolution blew up in their faces.
Even more reason to rid of it!
I have to resist the gagging reflex every time I hear 'Lord David Cameron'. Sad to say I have no faith that the titled Starmer will deal with any of this. Thanks as usual LBD.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Thank You Carol.
Nice to know the future of our country is merely seen as a gravy train for these crooks.
Thank you always for your invaluable information x
Amazing work. Was very happy to recognise Carol voicing it
An absolute disgrace and all thats wrong with the country. We need to take back control of our country.
Brilliant as always.. shared with everyone I know.. we have to get this out there !
