You guys are really good! Thank you!
great song, singers and players.
Country Gentlemen couldn't have done it better. Great singing.
Both are cracking tunes. Great videos.
Now that's music.
I used to listen to this song as a child sung by Smiley Bates...beautiful song
Finally.... someone else who knows about Smiley Bates.
My Grandpa shared that music with me. Thanks 😊
@@robinhood480 I loved his music as a child. This song was a fave. Still is

@@acat96 yup , iam into his style
good voice!
Fab classic sound.
Great version of this song...Country Gentlemen don't do it any better!
my father is a lead guitar player. Music is a tradition in my family.
I've heard many do this song. By far the best I've heard right here. Not many know the story of Mary is a tragic true story
My father wrote that song
Mac Wiseman OWNS taking Mary Home but Larry does a good job. Larry picks a hell of a guitar, beautiful finger work on the board!
@MistyMountaineers Thanks, Paul, I knew you'd come up with the name! lol!
Sally Goodin is the instrumental and Goodin is the way that boy sings and picks that guitar
Y'all may not believe me but that's my grampy playing the martin
This guy is very good :)
Great sing of this old Red Sovine song Ging....just uploaded it myself... Best to you and yours in 2012
Jack
nice pickin guys !
Yea that's bout as real as it gets righton thx
@missyoumama Yes, he is. I really enjoyed listening to him & his band. (and doing a bit of jamming with him)
anyway we can get the tabs? the guitar in this is mesmerizing to me
Where was this recorded? and when?
@JackGAdams Same to you, Jack!
Great song and I really enjoyed Larry's singing and guitar playing. Sure wish that fiddle player would have backed off and let Larry extend his break.
If this is a yearly event, I would like to know more about it such as where it is and contact person and phone number.
I wish my left index isn't now bent, twisted, and canted from an animal bite, because I would like to play that.
He was good picker and singer.
Carol is hot.
Sounds a lot like Tracy Lawrence
...a little too high in "A" ?
Smells like Bengay and Icehouse
Don't hear this kind of music anymore,it has been replaced with crap from trashville.
nashville is trashville....a far cry from what it used to be....
So true, my feelings exactly. The turds they call artists in Nashville now couldn’t even carry George Jone’s 🎸.
I am proud to be a smiley bates fan
