I enjoyed watching that. It’s took me back to memory lane. 😩 I can see myself driving and walking through those roads again even though I live in LONDON. No place like home....LIVERPOOL 8
brought back memories of my childhood.the greek chipshop on park road near the holy land.we lived in South street.sadly knocked down in the late 1960s.things were better people looked after they're next door neighbours.i went to St.finbars school.
That bingo hall is a huge Tesco now that takes me back and Summerfield which used to be a quik save is now B&M thanks for the bus ride ding ding 9.14 my stop
Graduated Riversdale Technical College...yes, Richard Starkey was in my class. Then on to the University of Liverpool before coming to the United States to seek my fortune. Wonderful happy days in a Liverpool that no longer exists.
I got a bit travel sick haha just like l used to when the bus stopped and started,The only places l recognized was Lewis’s and that temple building by the Chinese arch , l would be lost there now
Great high-def. video. I'm from Liverpool, but never been out that way. Most could be anywhere in UK really. Pity there were few lateral views of landmarks . I noticed you apparently trying to find the naked statue on Lewis's !!! Great reminiscences of the city centre. Thanks whack.
that was interesting, i would like to see liverpool one of these days, is it a safe place to go on your own , which places should i avoid and what are the pubs like? i am a londoner
Anyone else remembers Peter,s Night Club on Peter,s Lane ? And wheels nightclub On the next corner? Said bus drives past both former Nightclubs !! And yes my Family know Mr PS before you all ask ;)
LScouser8 £2-30p on Arriva & £2-20p on Stagecoach. Terrible the cost of a bus ride on a bus now 😮 It wouldn't surprise me in the next few years it be £3-50 or £4 at the rate it's going. 😱

Amazing how it has changed. Lived above a bread shop on Park Rd in the mid 1950s, Those buildings all demolished.
I lived there for 5 years and I miss it so much😭
Very nostalgic, especially as I didn't pay and the inspector didn't get on.
its a good thing for people who've never been there to get an idea of the city
Great that Russ. Made me feel travel sick though!

I used to work in the library at Riversdale for a very brief period of my life. When did you study there?

Filmed before the Tesco was built, obviously as the post office is still there so it's about 10 years old roughly I'd say...
Almost like being on the bus!
