🌺Great job Tom, you gave me such a great idea! My old greenhouse cover had ripped at the doorways and your wonderful little greenhouse is perfect so I can save this cover and try and build a new one in the fall!

Great video! Some thoughts -- I would have installed the roof with the ribs going from the ridge to the eaves. Having it the other way will keep the water from running off. I'm also concerned that a strong wind will blow your great looking greenhouse away. Have you considered something to anchor it to the ground?

Thanks for the tips! And we have anchored it into the ground

Doing it wrong or doing it right, at least you are DOING it! Sometimes the best way to learn is by trying and seeing what comes of it, what needs to be done differently and what you got down with each attempt. This is definitely something to build from and if you ever need to try it again, you will have a great idea of what to do! BTW, what you have with this one looks amazing! I really love the shelves and the solid lower sides! Would love to have something along these lines someday!

I bought a cheap pop-up greenhouse on Amazon. It is a 4x4 with the windows like yours. It doesn’t get that cold in the Phoenix area so I was able to start my plants in February and they did great in there. The only negative I have is grass still grew through the weed barrier. Your greenhouse looks amazing. Glad to see you were able to make good use of the netting material. - Sue in AZ

Very nice. For an in the future idea...when the greenhouse cover eventually fails, cover that portion with screen & get a clear tarp to go sround the outside fix the top with staples or screws with washers so wind isnt as likly to rip it loose ,,afix the sides with velcro so yoi can roll the clear tarp up for ventalation same with the doors we did ours this way & it has worked very good. During the winter when it isnt in use we leave the side rolled up so that wind can flow thru this extends the life of the tarp. When you roll the tarp up roll it towards the underside of the tarp so that rain or snow isnt traped inside the roll it just rolls right off without pooling up inside the roll. I hope this saggestion helps you in the furure ,,,i love the job you did on it it should bring you many years of good use 😊

Great build mate, love the fiscal nature of reusing the defunct greenhouse to make a new one. Only thing I would have done different in your case was turn the roofing 90 degrees so the valleys in the roofing are running from the tip of the roof down to the bottom rather than side to side. Makes the water run a bit smoother so should you ever install guttering to collect rain water it won't jump over the sides of it.
Quick bit of audio (editing) advice: you're obviously dealing with multiple cameras which leaves you dealing with some audio that is mono and some that's stereo due to how the device recoding them is configured. When you put a mono audio source (like the camera you filmed the intro on) into a stereo track: it only comes out the left or right channel so viewers hear it in one ear only. The quick fix to this is just make your audio track in your editor a mono track, which will bring everything "front and centre" regardless, but the cameras recording in stero will create a second audio track when you bring them into the timeline which you can then just delete at the end of your workflow if you desire. The other thing you can do is have an audio track for each camera and your one you recorded the intro on you can just make a mono track. You should then find everything sounds balanced as you're always being heard by viewers in both ears :) Benefit of doing it the harder way is you can equalise each track and run things like noise cancellation etc. to get rid of any ambient white noise you might not like that's specific to each camera's microphone. Hope this helps!

We actually built a greenhouse with that roofing material all around...I played concrete papers as the floor...10x12 it's lasted 4 years and still looks new....it was the perfect spot for growing my chicks....we replaced 2 clear plastic pieces in the summer and replaced with screen panels

    Here’s a tip!
It’s too hot now for greenhouse growing and starting here in Oklahoma,
I use mine for a SAUNA!!! Mine gets about 140
In the middle of the day!!! And then in the winter,
I put my cold plunge tub in there!!!

Great job!! I wanted to share what my husband did for me when we bought a 6x8 ft Pelram polycarbonate greenhouse. He built a solid wood floor and constructed it on top of that. He drilled holes in the base to run a water José thru and one for an extension cord so I could have lights, fans, and heaters. We recently bout a 10x40 metal frame with white cover as you did at first. I've been thankful for it, but it was not well constructed either. Mostly the plastic cover. The metal has been pretty good and has withstood many heavy winds. But the cover is completely coming apart and only after a year. Trying another brand now, Quictent? I think. It"s much better looking. But still want to build our own. I always enjoy watching you guys! Thanks for sharing!
