Just wanted to add something that I don't hear alot of people talking about. Sedum. I grow autumn joy. I have found it to be one of the best things for stings, bites, cuts, and burns. It's also very helpful with arthritis, joint, and muscle pain. Fire ant bite? Grab a leaf and scratch one side of it to release the juice. Place it directly on the sting. The pain will be gone in a minute or so. Burn? Same thing. I take band aids or tape and cover the area with scratched up leaves and tape in place. I've been amazed at how well this works. My sister suffered from such arthritis pain, she couldn't open or close her hands. I gave her one of my sedum plants and had some moringa powder delivered to her. She had her daughter mix up half sedum leaves, half moringa powder then she mixed it in warm coconut oil to cover the leaves. She was in a hurry for relief, so she didn't bother straining out the leaves she started immediately rubbing it into her hands. In 3 days, it was like she never had arthritis! Every day it was getting better. The 3rd day she sent me a video of her peeling potatoes! She hadn't been able to do that for almost 3 years! Her Dr was totally amazed.
That's wonderful, I'm going to try it
Wow! That stuff is ALL over our lawn. Very cool, thanks!
🤩Amazing! Thanks so much & you're right, don't hear any of my 🌱'natural' sites talking about it 🥰Lots of grandkids needing sting/cut relief in summer & Mom & I have arthritis flare-ups that we refuse meds for
Thank you, do you only use the fresh leaves of the sedum or have you tried drying as well?
@angieurban2069 I haven't tried drying. I pick a lot of the bottom leaves when it's in bloom and freeze them. The medicine in them seems to be strongest when they're blooming
I wish I still had my mom.She passed away at 91 about 9 years ago.She was master gardener. Cherish her now while she is still here. She taught me how to sew, clean. cook ,can, garden. Her marriage lasted over 50 years with my wonderful pop. They together raised 6 beautiful children.
I also wish i still had my mom. I lost her to cancer last year. She was 53. Definitely cherish all the time together.
@@ksy4747 So sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother
So sorry for the loss of your beloved mother…..your appreciation of the skills and knowledge she taught you is wonderful…..I know…the loss of a mum….never leaves.
🙏💜💜💜I believe whenever we talk of those who have continued on, it’s them saying hello whether we realize or not. Your mom sounds like an awesome woman.
Whether our Mom's depart this earth in their nineties or fifties it is atremendous loss all the same, especially when it has been a loving relationship. I too have had a close relationship with my Mom. She' is now 81 and I, 59. Although she deals with some physical challenges, she stays active n her mind has remained ntact. I attribute it to faith in God n good habits. Her outlook in life influences my own till this day🌹
I feel like my whole soul has been refreshed after watching you!!! I have started spending more time in nature (and watching less sad & scary news) and watching more of what brings my heart and soul peace and joy....like YOU!!! Thank God for you, you are such precious blessings!!!
As a lifelong migraine sufferer, who finally found relief, after 35 years of suffering, when I learned that wheat is a migraine trigger for most migraine sufferers! It’s true! As soon as I took wheat out of my diet, I stopped suffering from them 💞🕊
I've made the same correlation with wheat being a trigger for my migraines also and look at the word migrain/ my-grain. Remedies and cause often hidden right in the word!
Neat! never saw the word contained therein. It peeked my curiosity so as to look up its etymology.
migraine (n.)
late 14c., migrane, "severe headache, especially on one side of the head," from Old French migraine,
migraigne (13c.), from the vulgar pronunciation of LateLatin hemicrania "pain in one side of the head, headache," from Greek hēmikrania, from hēmi- "half" + kranion "skull"
The corrupt form megrim was common from 15c. on and is the principle entry for the word in Century Dictionary (1895), but it seems to be now obsolete or archaic even in its secondary senses of "depression; low spirits" and "a whim or fancy."
The origin of words fascinates 🌎🌍
I'm suffering severe headaches almost 24/7. One side of my head..temple, the back of my head my ear and jaw. The hospital gave me three ultrasound scans for Temple arteritis...all negative . All began in May this year. Have to say I'm at my wit's end nothing so far has helped me. I've lost 2.5 st (33lb) in weight and my balance when the headaches are bad is greatly effected. I keep searching for something that may give me relief and found the video and comments here interesting. Many thanks. Best wishes from the UK
I'm very sorry Pat. I hope you will be able to find relief soon. I am not able to offer any advice as I experience migraines sporadically n take meds. I avoid certain products that seem to be triggers such as aged 🧀 n 🍷 (due to the sulfites). I also go on daily walks n try to stay hydrated. Perhaps someone here can offer some advice.
@@patmillar961 Sometimes jaw pain is cardiac in origin. If you haven't already seen a cardiologist, you might consider it.Best wishes from Kentucky.
Impressively helpful video. I suffered migraines for years. Some lasting as long as 27 days in a row that I couldn't function. I grew feverfew & consumed 1 leaf a day for 30 days in a row. I never suffered another one after that. That might give someone hope of eradicating them forever as it did me! God Bless!
Beautiful!!!
I am a severe migraine sufferer. I'm in my mid 50's and started getting them as a teen. I'm adding feverfew to my garden next year!!
Thank you!
Thank you for the tip. I'm starting to lose hope that my migraines will ever go away.
did you just chew the leaf and swallow it?
Oh my goodness really!? That's how my migraines are right now! I've tried every migraine pharma med under the sun & nothing helps. I have to try this now! It could save my life & give me my life back! Thank you!

WOW! For those also looking for the information contained in the title, it is 10:39 minutes. in.
As I watch this video, I got sad. To explain. My mother was learning about nutrition and alternative medicine in the years before her passing. We had an opportunity to do a day class together. I still had small children at the time so I did not have the time to explore it more. She passed in 2001. I am now watching videos of several channels in which I’m getting a lot of information to the point of irritating my husband (he has some ailments I’m trying to take care of at home). The mother/daughter relationship that you have is the relationship i was wanting. I am hoping that I am making her proud as she looks down from heaven. ( I also think she is the one that said (watch these videos when i was in search of educating myself to get where i am today). Love and Hugs from Maine❤
I love this mother and daughter relationship, you both are great.. ❤

This is like the Garden of Eden. You are bringing God goodness to life again. Amazing.
It is so lovely to see a mother and daughter learning and experiencing together.
Your relationship with your mother is so beautiful. I wish I could spend more time with my mom and be closer to her.
Thank you both!
I suffer from Migraines terribly. TENSION AND STRESS, being a caregiver to my handicapped elder sister an no other family..
Wow, this is my first time viewing your channel, I am impressed and inspired.
I can't believe I learned about Feverfew only after about 25 years of migraines. I've only just recently started takin it daily, and so far, nock nock, no migraine to be seen.
I take daily medicine for very bad headaches. If the weather changes, I accidentally eat the wrong thing, smell the wrong thing or any number of triggers, I get a throwing up migraine lasting up to 3 days. I tried feverfew in the past. After watching your video, I realize I may not have taken it at the right frequency and given it a sufficient chance to work and hopefully replace the toxic stuff I currently take. I know ginger helps with severe attacks and helps me avoid triptans almost half of the time. I’m praying feverfew will be the answer to many years of prayers. Thank you for making this video.
What helped me most in the end was doing a coffee enema, soon as I feel the pain coming on. Have been able to avoid a full migraine for over 3 years.
Add magnesium citrate caps 750mg after dinner

I watch many of your episodes. This one is especially helpful as I have Vestibular Migraine, occipital neuralgia, and post-traumatic migraines. I have been studying herbalism, gardening with herbs, and creating my own tea blends for a few years. I have never grown or used feverfew. After watching this I ordered feverfew seeds and the seedlings are about four inches high now. I cannot wait to eat some leaves like you do. I am hoping to get some relief like you feel. I will keep you posted! I also just ordered the Earthwise Herbs book---cannot wait until it arrives! Thank you for your awesome videos.
Thanks mother-Daughter team for more relaxing remedies (Passion Flower/Mimosa)💮 Plus I've had migraines for 45yrs
You two ladies just made my day!! I've never heard of anyone (except my Dad and his family) checking Persimmon Seeds for the Winter Forecast. Brought back so many wonderful memories. Bless you both and thanks for sharing that Feverfew helps migraines, I've had them running 3 days now. I was around 25 or 26, with four children when migraines first started. I don't have any feverfew but Lord willing, I will have. Thanks so very much!!!
You will be Blessed in Heaven for taking Mom with you on all the difficult trips and respectfully listening to her knowledge.
My dream would be to have every living space feel like the room you are in - it suggests great wisdom and intelligence of life
Watched this and in the first few min i felt at home again. my mom did the same thing once on our farm lol.
Thank you for sharing. I suffer from chronic migraines. They are horrible! Just had a bad one last week and lost 6 pounds during two days of constant pain and sickness. So thankful when I can finally drink water/fluids again! Praying for a cure for all of us. I already take Feverfew tablets, but I think I will try to grow my own feverfew.
You and your mother are so funny! I love you two together

Glad to have stumbled upon your channel this evening. I will definitely watch and learn. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I have migraines and I've been looking for an alternative to the RX meds that are prescribed. I'm adding medicinal plants to our garden for tisanes and meds to our Homestead. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm so grateful I found this channel.
Thank You Girls...
I really appreciate you guys! As a fellow trained herbalist, your info yet warning go do your own research to see if it’s fitting for the actions you need as well as noting contraindications is a huge piece people miss in herbalism. I feel like I am there with you at the apothecary and absolutely love your homestead!
We dried up feverfew and put it into daily capsules for migraines. ☺️
How many capsules do you take daily or per treatment ?
I will say boswellia extract the dry form(frankincense oil) the oil can be applied to the big toe to go straight to the brain or one can use 4 drops on the crown. It is mind blowing how this can correct things in our brain.
I was first introduced to feverfew about 35 - 40 years ago. I was out with my son on a hot sunny day when a migraine started. We looked for somewhere to get out of the sun and the closest place was an herb store. The woman asked if she could help me and I said not unless you've got a cure for migraines. She said..."well, as a matter of fact"... 😆
I've used feverfew on and off since then. The supply I got from her was flowers and leaves. What I find now is leaves and stems. I am never without it now because it is currently the Only treatment I can use. A GI illness I had several years ago means I can never use triptons to treat migraines. It does a good job controlling mine but unfortunately doesn't prevent them. Right now I average 2 per month lasting 4 to 7 days, sometimes 10 or more. I was blessed the day I was led to that little store.
Thank you for sharing. The sun and humidity are def triggers. Glad FF is working for you. =)
Try B12, Methyl Folate and allergy pills (like Zyrtec). A lot of people find relief with B2 and B6 as well.
I love that you kept the rose attack in . You and your mother are living my dream. I wish I had some one to work with :)
Good morning, I'm HAPPY to meet you guys God Blessed you.
You make me cry almost every time I watch you and your mom
I'm just coming back here for some feedback. I have never really been one to suffer from migraines until the last year or two. Your title caught my eye so I watched, then not long after I was at a farmer's market and there was a little feverfew plant (it showed up when I needed it). I've been nabbing a little leaf each time I'm in the garden. It's been about a month or two and I haven't had a headache yet. I've had a couple times it felt like the beginning of one, which normally would turn into a guaranteed 3 day stint, but then just disappeared. Thank you so much, I am learning and shifting more and more as I learn.
I have volunteered passion plants comes up every year. Beautiful purple flowers 👍😍
love these two. their presence warms my heart. love it
Hay talk to a chiropractor about your migraine headaches. Go to one who does X-rays and where they check your nerve with a hand held thing that looks like a massager but isn't...it reads your neck and spine nerves. I've been very happy with this type of chiropractor. He uses an activator type of instrument and does not do the twisting and jerking your body. Worth a try. Love all your videos and I'm also going back to some like this one. Thank you and your momma.❤❤
Nice To know thank you on the passion fruit
Your garden and knowledge are like a dream! It feels so overwhelming to learn so much. But I hope to get better, headaches have been plaguing me lately. My herb and tea garden just got started last year but I have SO much to learn still.
I just got a mild migraine today, this video was perfectly timed! I'll have to look to see if I have any feverfew seeds in my seed library. Any relief is a wonderful thing!
Thank you so much!
Ginger root has helped my migraines reduce significantly. I will have to try feverfew as well

Completely new to this. I watched your video and ordered Andrew Chevallier’s Herbal Remedies Handbook. I wanted to start with Marigolds, because they’re in my garden. Have you ever made a tincture with it? This would be my very first time doing anything with herbs. I’m excited to learn things from you. Thanks for all the info you share in your videos. This is a whole new world for me!
I’m new to the channel and just wanted to say what a blessing you and your mother have been.
Happy mother's day
Sunlight triggers your migraine. Cause me to remember my sister whom just passed away form the rarest known from of lung cancer. Long story. She was allergic to sunlight. She'd break out in hives if she exposed her skin to direct sunlight more than 10 minutes. She loved being outdoors. She had to cover-up to work out in her garden.
Oh my I’m so sorry!!!
Apricot seed beats cancer
So sorry for your loss. I can't be out in sun too long or I get a migraine, from time I was very young.
Have you tried blue light sunglasses? It makes a big difference for myself. I have my glasses with transition lenses which are the original blue light glasses.
The other issue I have is not drinking enough fluids. I drink at least 64 oz a day and have several times gone to the Dr and I have still been dehydrated even with drinking a gallon minimum a day.
Blessings to you and so sorry for your loss.
I'm dealing with now. :( 😞 No doctors telling me was the root cause. Sorry for your lost..
Alright ladies went on over to Esty to try some of yall's tea. Hoping for some inflammation relief.
It’s funny, but I just did the same with my feverfew seeds and put them in a pot. There’s also golden feverfew that has chartreuse colored foliage instead of green. It’s really pretty too, but you probably already know that. 🌻
Sometimes you tube knows what you need to see. That happened today. Sunlight definitely triggered yesterdays migraine.
Thank you for your videos and tip. I'm heading off to source some feverfew for tea.

Mine are caused primarily by the barometric pressure dropping. And you are right about finding what works for you. A friend of mine years ago decided that I didn't have "real" migraines because feverfew made me vomit and kicked a bad migraine into high gear. This was in capsule form. I use Hyland's Migraine Relief Tablets at the start now. I think the information you give is 👍 great!
Yes!! Drops in the pressure and high humidity are both massive triggers for me!!

Me too!! I have a shunt in my skull and I’ve found that barometric headaches aren’t that uncommon for people with my type of surgery.
yep have a serious contact dermatitis with Feverfew. Just have to look at it and I break out. But my grand-daughter on the other hand, works perfect for her migraines.
