i just wanna mention that this kind of subtle and underplayed animation is one of the hardest things to learn as an animator. get the weight right, don't overdo everyday gestures, make every part of the body move believably and with weight.... and this man has mastered it!

Bradford Thornton it looks fantastic, especially considering its age, but to expect this level of quality for an entire show is actually pretty unrealistic. they work on a fixed schedule and have to make some cuts due to that, but cowboy bebop still has some instances of iconic cell animation, especially with its action scenes.

It was basically me sharing something with her that makes me happy (this film is my all time favorite) I told her when the screen went black at the end of this intro, ''No rotoscoping. No live action reference, cgi, nothing. This is all done on paper and from someone's mind.''

The world seen in this opening is constantly active. Everyone has somewhere to go, something to do, they are at the beginning of events, and are still around when the events conclude. They all have their little side stories and spin-off narratives. They all are part of a different kind of experience where the feelings tend to vary and be so many, told from many different perspectives. And every second sees them going from one instance into the next, all seamlessly flowing like a river with many branching curves, separating but quite divorced from each other; the branches return; the river's iconic image of perpetual motion as is flows upward, ascending the stream of time.
But an awareness of all this is only truly felt by those who can step back and see where the stream is coming from and where it is going. For people like Spike Spiegel, who shows up at the end, it is a blessing and a curse to be able to see the flow of the stream, since he cannot be an active part of it. One eye can follow the past, and the other is grounded in the present, but neither can truly gaze at the future, only at the fleeting possibilities as if it were a dream.
Prompting, amongst so many queries of life's vicissitudes, the question of, "Are you living in the dream, or are you living in the _real world?"_

I don't know if you're aware what hip hop is, and the difference between rap, but your analysis of what it is way off course. Rap derives from hip hop, and hip hop was a by product of the 70's & 80's lifestyle of eastern coast block parties. Hip hop is distinguished primary through the use of scratch beats and breaks. Rap can be said to be a part of hip hop, but hip hop cannot conform to rap due to it's sampling of tracks, and mixed sub-genre with other music.

Keanu getting the part isnt the big problem in the grander scheme of things. The problem is the director/studio is most likely going to completely SLAUGHTER the very identity of the story and characters to the point that it doesnt even resemble the original except for names, and probably so much that its down right BLASPHEMOUS.
If they would just present these (anime) works in their intended form they would be box office smashes and instantly appeal to the masses.

Im not joking, it was refered to as hip hop and it was fucking awesome. Hip Hop officially died out in about 2002-03 with lil shithead and all those motherfuckers. Samurai Champloo used a complete hip hop soundtrack, rap was a part of hip hop before, and named a genre later on.

I hope that you're joking that rap didn't exist before this was made. Also Cowboy Bebop (the series) was made four years before Firefly.

Actually.... fairly possible besides the date unless there's a huge breakthrough in power related technology.
