Hi Joe, How about a video on "lasers"? What's the current state of the technology, latest applications, power levels, weaponization, scientific applications, communication etc? I just thought that would be a cool topic since the laser has been famous for so long now and we don't really see much of it in our daily lives as once predicted. Love your channel and content. Definitely one of the best ever on UA-cam. Thanks for all you and your team contribute.
We see a lot of lasers in our daily lives, they just aren't safe to be out in the open typically where they can blind you or they're part of industrial practices used to manufacture products we consume. For example, anything that reads a disk relies on laser diodes to read, a blu-ray play has a blue laser diode. Fiber optic internet uses lasers to create the signals it transmits. Lots of industrial welding for things like cars is done using welding laser and if you look at the logo on the back of your phone there a chance that logo was put there with a marking laser. Lasers are used in several types of 3d printing, lots of wood and acrylic pieces are made as laser cut outs... Seriously the list goes on

There's something I appreciate deeply about the humanity behind "One of the most important things that keep us alive, but I just redecorated my room, check it out!" And that's why I'm here. Thank you, Joe
OK, I'm immediately going over to watch "The Core" Best time to watch Armageddon movies! OH, and your set looks great man! you have far better design instincts than I do :D ON a more serious note, I think it really just shows how little we know about the earth and what transpires on it. All the global climate panic revolves around man's influence on the environment, and honestly, the more I learn the more I think we have very little impact on the world. Magnetic poles shift, the core stops rotating, sun flares all change the earth far more dramatically then man. A single super volcano explosion would change the world 10x more then man has done since we've been studying it.
… climate “panic” as room temperature IQ individuals may call it is about our impact on_us._ Not on the planet. The planet will go on with or without us. Whether we want to continue living on it and not suffering mass upheaval due to temperature shifts is another matter entirely.
Love the new studio!!! Looks awesome. I like all your ideas for new show format and new projects and whatnot. (And thanks for taking one for the team by watching The Core. Haha)
Love the new room! The old room was nice, but I feel like your decorations get to really be seen now. Congrats on entering the new era, I'm looking forward to all of your exciting new projects! 🎉
The new set is lovely. It feels a bit more sober than the classic one, but I've got a feel it also improved lighting and acoustics? Could be just me! 😂
I want to see an updated video about the implications of the singularity, ASI, and AGI respectively. You were the reason I learned of the potential of AI in the first place. To me, you’re one of the most qualified people to talk on this.
Congrats for the new setup! For what it's worth, one thing I've noticed is that in the studio (study? 😁) shots, the colours seem to be a bit washed out, compared to earlier videos. Perhaps not a huge difference but enough to be noticeable. Nothing obvious for graphics and other footage, just the personal recording. Especially the skin tones. It's like having a layer of haze in front. I went back to look at some earlier videos and I'm quite sure I'm right.
Im ok with the new background and everything but NO chair spin at the begining im NOT ok with that! :).and a video about the core of the earth stopped spinning a coincidence, DONT THINK SO !
Cool style, I like the leds and the calm color of the wall. Nice that your putting "a spin" to your decoration. But tbh, it's too clean. I loved watching all the details in your shelf, gave some "core" value. It was more honey and less tv-studio. Think you could add some more curious stuff back in? Thanks for keeping things interesting, happy your back in your "rotation" again. ❤
Still my go to channel for weird factoids and "special" knowledge. I like the new set... the old one was so "early 21st Century." Good to see you get with the times. And thanks for the scary core stories...
I really like the new backdrop of yours sir. It actually makes it easier when I am watching your videos while on bed with room lights off. It's soothing , beautiful and makes you look young. Good choices, especially the poster.

Something is coming I assure you... How is there a solid Iron core inside of a molten core that stays around 5,000 (⁰C) when Iron melts around 1,300 (⁰C)? So the molten core is 3×'s hotter than the melting point of the "solid" inner core. Why doesn't it the "solid" core melt? Congratulations Joe! Those are some ambitious plans you have put out there to follow. I'll definitely be following along. I like the backdrop design; The simple geometry of the wall hangings is brought to life by contrasting blue light. The whole update is very contemporary... well done!

I have been a viewer for a long time, binged your older content, grind your new content, learnt new things and solidified information I once knew. I am so elated for the upgrade of the channel. Can't wait for the new upcoming content. Keep up the awesome work both to you and your staff.
That's super nice, thank you!
There's something I appreciate deeply about the humanity behind "One of the most important things that keep us alive, but I just redecorated my room, check it out!" And that's why I'm here. Thank you, Joe
OK, I'm immediately going over to watch "The Core" Best time to watch Armageddon movies!
OH, and your set looks great man! you have far better design instincts than I do :D
ON a more serious note, I think it really just shows how little we know about the earth and what transpires on it.
… climate “panic” as room temperature IQ individuals may call it is about our impact on_us._
Not on the planet.
Haha)
The things I do for you guys... :)
Your room looks awesome!! A great studio for your broadcasts!! ❤️🌎❤️
Love the new room! The old room was nice, but I feel like your decorations get to really be seen now. Congrats on entering the new era, I'm looking forward to all of your exciting new projects! 🎉
Yay!
The new set is lovely. It feels a bit more sober than the classic one, but I've got a feel it also improved lighting and acoustics? Could be just me! 😂
Yeah, he is probably working on that.
Yeah, the old set was always half-drunk. We sent it to spend some time in recovery.
I want to see an updated video about the implications of the singularity, ASI, and AGI respectively. You were the reason I learned of the potential of AI in the first place. To me, you’re one of the most qualified people to talk on this.
There's even not one definition of the singularity
Congrats on all the changes & upgrades!Set looks awesome. But your camera focus seems quite soft.
Joe, it's classy. Modern. Worth the efforts IMHO. It whispers SUCCESSFUL.
GREAT vid too!!💖
Looking good, buddy! Happy to see the new room and your channel still growing-thanks for years of great content Joe and team
It's nice and bespoke :D looking forward to seeing many interesting things discussed in this space!!
Im ok with the new background and everything but NO chair spin at the begining im NOT ok with that! :).and a video about the core of the earth stopped spinning a coincidence, DONT THINK SO !
I get a weird moment of vertigo every time I visualize standing on a thin crust floating on all that impossibly hot magma.
Love the new set, you deserved the upgrade! Keep the wonderful content coming, you are a RockStar!
Love the new set! I really love this new ambiance 👌🏼
Can't wait to see your new projects, Joe!
I really like the new backdrop of yours sir. It actually makes it easier when I am watching your videos while on bed with room lights off. It's soothing , beautiful and makes you look young. Good choices, especially the poster.
Just watched your room makeover video and went straight into this. Looks freaking amazing, Joe. Also, Zoe is perfection. Hail Zoe!
What is Zoe?
Looks great! I like that you kept the light blue color and the white ikia shelving as tribute and continuity. Acoustics are a little tinny, but still good.
Yeah, still dialing it in but I had to get some videos shot. :)
Love the new setup Joe! hope it serves you well for many many years to come
lol. the real trip to mars was the friends we made along the way 😂😂
Long-term fan and you deserve all the good stuff that's coming to you. Love the new room, all the best with exploring the heaps of creativity (AND tangents) you keep putting into all of your videos. You're awesome!
Why do you love the new set?
Use words.
All of this is pretty exciting! And I really like the new setup. I do miss the pop culture nick-knacks though. Congrats and more power to you!
it looks very nice! as a photographer i would have an advice for you. people are most drawn to the brightest spot/part of the image. maybe push the light of you a bit or lower the intensity of the background lights slightly. 😊
Bookmarked your website immediately. Thanks for everything you do, Joe.
New studio looks amazing!
I remember back in the day when people would freak out if the UA-camr would change anything in the background (like Nostalgia Critic) 🤣
People are upset that I'm not spinning around in my chair as much as I used to. It's still a thing. :)
Thanks for the kind words!
Love the new set! Thanks for continuing to produce great content as always. You’re the best!
This channel never disappoints.
Been watching for a long time glad to see all the growth over the years!
Turns out....
We're all gonna die, somday?
I’ve been watching since 2018 and I must say I will miss the shelf but the new look is nice. Do what’s best for you. You’re one of the few UA-camrs that I can watch and never get bored of your content. I’ve loved watching your channel grow and can’t wait to see it grow even more!!!
Admit that the new set is boring.
@@robert-wr9xt the new set is evolving just like this channel. Like I stated above I’ve been watching for a few years and I’ve watched Joe and his channel change and evolve over time. It’s not a matter of it’s boring. It’s change and change can be good. If you think it’s boring then that’s your opinion and you have that right.
The numbers just don't match but that's pretty normal when it comes to almost any scientific anything any more, they either contradict or are of such astronomical amounts that the average human mind can't even conceive of how astronomical they are. Curiouser and Curiouser....
probably because of the immense weight of the entire earth and your mom exerting so much force on the inner core that it makes it solid??
@@01011010110 My moms dead. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Shameful...
Let me introduce you to the concept of gravity.
@@zephyr8072 that would be just a concept as gravity is not proven and so remains a theory.
@@chrismooneyham5279 So is the kinetic theory of gases and yet I can detect the hot air from here.
Absolutely LOVE THE NEW STUDIO!!! CONGRATS!!!
Joe you are SINCIERELY in my view....one of the few...actually almost COMPLETELY , I dont wanna say positive as in upbeat , But educational, fun, intelligent, relatable, interesting, and something you can watch and actually walk away from learning something new...not just .... using up spare time. You are SINGLE HANDEDLY probably making MANY young minds much more interested in science, mathematics, so many fields your videos cover...and so many of them very accessible to the general viewer. I have been SO HAPPY to see your channel grow, and loving the new room ! Keep it up man, we god damn love you man ❤❤✊✊🙏🙏🤘🤘
Edit: BAHHAAHA GOD DAMNIT I love that you brought up the core in the video thats the FIRST THING i thought of when i saw this video xD
Secondary edit : Yeah gotta give props on that alliteration.
That was the shortest short film teaser you could've done, I love it
Nice upgrade. The video quality and sound are better. You are AWESOME!
The slowing of the Earth's rotation can be blamed on one thing. The Three Gorges Dam!
7:51 *speaks in Gru’s kids voices” ooooohhhh can we get stuffed crust?? 😂😂😂😂
Joe Scott, you are the man. Thank you for doing what you do.
Thank you for diving into the scientists behind our understanding of the Earth. On this day and age we need to know where this information is coming from, and by mentioning the people behind the science helps a lot. ❤❤❤
Congratulations Joe! Those are some ambitious plans you have put out there to follow. I'll definitely be following along. I like the backdrop design; The simple geometry of the wall hangings is brought to life by contrasting blue light. The whole update is very contemporary... well done!
Love the new background, though you may want to move the starship a little farther from the orb. Unless, of course, that was intentional...
Yes, the new setup is nice. Great way to display those fancy plaques.
The excitement in your voice made me excited. Congrats on all the success! We're all proud of you!
7.5 miles down is the deepest we've ever dug and it took 20 years. We don't know jack for sure.
God I remember when you had just under 100k subs. Now you're at okay 1.5 mil. Congrats man. I love your content!
Love the new setup! New camera too? You look crisper.
Excited to see a short film from you! Would love to hear more about it… any info?
Hey, Joe, there's a reflection or shadow or something that keeps appearing on the right side (your right side) of your nose, that looks kinda like a giant wart. Then you shift slightly, and it's gone. Might want to do a light check? Love the new studio!
FYI, I understand why you used Non Glare Glass in the traditional gold picture frame in the background of your new set.
I would recommend that you change it for Tru-Vue Museum Glass. It should appear to be totally invisible. This may help tweek and improve the viewing experience. BTW, I do enjoy most of your topic choices.
Keep up the good work 👍
Good luck with all of the new stuff. Looking forward to it.
