Just rewatched 200 Cigarettes and don't even recall this from the credits at the end. I was 19 when that movie came out. Can't believe it took another 23 years for me to "discover" this awesome fucking collab!!!!😁🖤
The Loud Allstar Rock Remix was featured in the 1999 film 200 Cigarettes. A music video for the song, featuring the band with Coolio and the other rap performers, was produced in conjunction with the release of the film. It uses an interpolation of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" and Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King".
BLONDIE - NO EXIT Blondie is an American rock band co-founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band was a pioneer in the American new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York. Their first two albums contained strong elements of punk and new wave, and although highly successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next five years, the band achieved several hit singles including "Heart of Glass," "Call Me," "Atomic," "The Tide Is High," and "Rapture." The band became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles, also incorporating elements of disco, pop, reggae, and early rap music. Blondie disbanded after the release of its sixth studio album, The Hunter, in 1982. Debbie Harry continued to pursue a solo career with varied results after taking a few years off to care for partner Chris Stein, who was diagnosed with pemphigus, a rare autoimmune disease of the skin. The band re-formed in 1997, achieving renewed success and their sixth number one single in the United Kingdom with "Maria" in 1999, exactly 20 years after their first UK No. 1 single ("Heart of Glass"). The group toured and performed throughout the world during the following years, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Blondie has sold around 40 million records worldwide and is still active. The band's eleventh studio album, Pollinator, was released on May 5, 2017. By 1982, the year the band initially broke up, Blondie had released six studio albums, each exhibiting a stylistic progression from the last. The band is known not only for the striking stage persona and vocal performances of Harry but also for incorporating elements in their work from numerous subgenres of music, reaching from their punk roots to embrace new wave, disco, pop, rap, and reggae. In March 2006, Blondie, following an introductory speech by Shirley Manson of Garbage, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Seven members (Harry, Stein, Burke, Destri, Infante, Harrison and Valentine) were invited to the ceremony, which led to an on-stage spat between the extant group and their former bandmate Frank Infante, who asked during the live broadcast of the ceremony that he and Nigel Harrison be allowed to perform with the group, a request refused by Harry who stated that the band had already rehearsed their performance. On May 22, 2006, Blondie was inducted into the Rock Walk of Fame at Guitar Center on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard. New inductees are voted on by previous Rock Walk inductees. And I have the great honor to have in my discography one unit of the seventh studio album, in CD format, by this wonderful band led by the charismatic vocalist, Debbie Harry. Titled NO EXIT, it was released in 1999 with commercial success, reaching number three on the UK album chart. Thank you very much for your music, Debbie Harry! No Exit is the seventh studio album by American rock band Blondie, released on February 23, 1999, by Beyond Music. It was the band's first album in 17 years and features the UK number-one single "Maria". As of March 2006, the album had sold two million copies worldwide. As was customary for a Blondie album, No Exit dabbled in many genres, including pop, reggae, country, and hip hop. Mike Chapman, who had produced all but the first two of Blondie's previous albums, produced some of the early demos for the album, though final production of the album fell to Craig Leon. A cover of the Shangri-Las' 1965 song "Out in the Streets" was included on the album. It was originally recorded by the band in 1975 while they were trying to get a record deal. The demo version was first issued on EMI's 1994 anthology The Platinum Collection and was later included on the 2001 remastered version of the band's eponymous debut studio album. A comeback promotional tour, the No Exit Tour, was launched preceding the release of the album, which spanned 13 months and visited Europe, North America and Oceania. No Exit reached number three on the UK Albums Chart, and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales in excess of 100,000 copies. It was preceded by the single "Maria", which became Blondie's sixth UK number one, exactly 20 years after the band's first number one, "Heart of Glass", making them the first American band to have chart-topping UK singles in three different decades: 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. A second single, "Nothing Is Real but the Girl", peaked at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart. The title track, "No Exit", was released as a limited-edition third single in Europe, and is a fusion of classical, hip hop and rock, and featured raps by Mobb Deep, Coolio, U-God, and Inspectah Deck. The album was released in several editions in different countries with various bonus tracks, mainly live versions of songs recorded during the band's No Exit Tour. The album was also reissued in 2001 along with all of Blondie's other studio albums, this time including three bonus tracks. Chris Stein commented on the title of the album in a 2004 interview: "The title was taken from a Sartre play, which says there's no madness in individuals, it's all in groups. I think that's probably what all these reality TV shows are about. Maybe we were a reality TV show before there was reality TV." The album is not available on streaming platforms or digital music stores, most likely because of a possible dispute in licensing or distribution rights, although the song "Maria" from the album can still be found on these platforms and stores on compilation albums.

1st time hearing this. Had no clue how it bypassed me in the late 90s Under any circumstances a collaboration like this shouldn't work and would have been a disaster, but its pretty dope actually

I love the song. I love the film. But the two are hilariously oil-and-water. I mean, they couldn’t even find a place for it outside the tail end of the opening credits! This wasn’t “Blade”!
This song is actually trash. So much potential though, the hook could've been great in between some memorable verses. But the arrangement of the verses, and production just completely missed the mark. They could've removed one of the mobb deep guys and coolio, and cleaned the song up and this could've been a classic. U-God and Deck sounded awesome. So did Prodigy. DH's 'rapping' though was too cringe.
Rest In Peace Prodigy & Coolio
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is one of the craziest crossovers ever
And it’s Glorious sooooo ahead of its time 1998
Facts! Blondie with the East and West Coast. The crossover we didn't know we needed🔥🔥🔥
1999. what a year. All that was on my mind was was video games, homework, cartoons, music, family films, and amusement parks.
For real.
Also marshmallows, CD stores, cappuccino coffee, microwave popcorn, VHS rentals and rollercoaster rides.
Just rewatched 200 Cigarettes and don't even recall this from the credits at the end. I was 19 when that movie came out. Can't believe it took another 23 years for me to "discover" this awesome fucking collab!!!!😁🖤
This song is FIRE. Shoulda been a huge hit
I lost my mind seeing this for the first time as a young kid...classic
Such a LEGENDARY features !!!! GREATEST COLLABORATIONS
Such an underrated song.
Shout out to Debbie Harry for introducing Hip Hop to the masses👍🏿
This beat is CRAZY
