I made the Kaya this week, as per inspiration from your pinafore video 😃 I am so pleased with it! I didn’t line and bias bound the arms and neck. Sewed up in a couple of hours 😃 used a quilted thick jersey. Love all your plans 😍
Fab plans as always, I have recently bought the Kaya pinafore, inspired by your vlog, so looking forward to making that up. Love your animal print coat ❤
Ooo fab plans! I made the kaya after watching your pinafore ideas👍 I bias bound instead of lining probably not the best finish on the V ! But it’s fine meeting my girls today for lunch and I’m wearing it 👍 Can’t wait to see your makes video! Xxx
Love the Andi jacket pattern. Would only work, here in central Alberta, for early fall. For winter outerwear, I look for coats with hoods and that go well past my hips. You haven't lived until you have -60 degree wind chills blowing around your nether regions. You do not want frost bite anywhere near there 😮
Great vlog as always. Look at you with all these plans, losing your sew Jo very firmly in the past, nothing like a girlie weekend to get your creative juices flowing again. Enjoy your time and love your coat ❤❤
Love the “Boho “ vibe-& the lounge/p.j. Set and fabrics!❤ I love green as well- this will be gorgeous!!❤I love “Fibre Mood”! Great choice for your fabulous fabric!!
Luna pjs are gorgeous! Super comfy in cotton lawn and have made the top in a leopard print Ponte which makes a great top for a daytime warm winter top …. Looking forward to seeing yours
Love the coat, been looking for the puffer coat fabric here in Canada....no luck yet. Ruan your plans are amazing can't wait to see the results. Enjoy your weekend away, the plans are great.
Love love love all your plans, can’t wait to see you Vali top in that gorgeous FG fabric, thank you for the shoutout about those pesky lurex bits on the neckline, hope the tweezers work! Happy sewing lovely one 😘
Ooh, you will be busy. I made the vali top out of double gauze and it is so comfy to wear. I need to make another with longer sleeves for winter, but my plans are so loooong and still not able to sit at my machine for long, but I need to take a leaf out of Brogan's book, and do 10 mins at a time.
Good luck with your plans Ruan. My style is different but I love your videos, your approach to life cheers up the dullest day 😊. Best of luck with the Sherpa, that looks a challenge. ❤
All selections of pattern & fabric are excellent. Actually can’t wait to see the Andy in that Sherpa. Love the Sherpa. The quilted coat is just gorgeous
Loving all your plans and so impressed with the coat you have almost finished ❤ I think the green loungewear will look gorgeous, for some reason I am thinking adding some red piping in places to give it a pop but that might turn it into a Christmas make which you don’t want. Talking of makes I am starting to make sweater dresses as presents for my nieces, the Viki sews amina hoodie in a Jumbo ribbed minky fleece and the Simplicity 8947 a minidress sweater and hoodie in sage green soft viscose blend rib knit. I liked the fabric so much I ordered me some and might make one for me as well. Thought it was the right time to start the makes ready for winter /Christmas. I’ve not had a good few months health wise so will be great to get my sewjo back, like you. Looking forward to seeing your makes video, no pressure 😂❤️
Great plans Ruan ❤ I made the soi pjs and found the tie very annoying in the night I have since put poppers on them as I do love them! I hope you all have a fab time away next month!
I’m loving the Kaya. I used to have a denim tunic that I wore all the time and I think the Kaya would be a great alternative to that 😃 Also love the dark green loungewear plans. So classy! 😍 I’m heading to the Create And Craft show in Glasgow this morning and I’m really hoping the fabric selection is decent this year 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
@@theyorkshiresewgirl Thank you, I had a lovely day. Only 3 fabric vendors but one was Lady McElroy. All the fabrics were £15/m, even the boiled wool. It would have been rude not to purchase some 🤷🏼♀️😍💞
Each time you mention that pinafore the more it appeals to me. I'm not buying any more patterns until the new year (she says!) Love that marnie, so pretty 🤩
Love all those patterns and fabrics Ruan. The image from fibremood of the quilted pinafore is soooo appealing. I’m sure I have a Seamwork pinafore, I need to get that on my plans list 😁 LOVE your puffs coat!
Super Giselle! I made one a couple of years ago from a cotton quilted fabric and had a nightmare with the layers on the placket. It's the warmest garment ever tho !! Have just recorded a lost sewjo vlog....... glad yours has returned! I ve made a couple of PF but not the Vali. The instructions are sometimes a little unclear/construction order a bit off but you ll be grand!
Hi Ruan...I have the Seamwork Andi already printed out. I adore your Sherpa fabric! What is it made out of? Researching online says sherpa can be cotton or polyester but most of the fabrics seem to be for linings. What search term do you recommend? xx Karen
Hello Ruann! What a 'to do or to sew' list! Fab. How did you finish the seams on the interior of your puffer coat? Also you mentioned you may do a lining for the denim fabric we got in last month's BTPD box. May I ask what kind you are thinking of using? If you're wearing tights then I imagine you need something that won't be staticky. I have a hard time knowing which types of linings would be best. Do you know? Thank you!
Hey 👋🏼 I overlocked the seams on the puffer coat but wondering if doing a hong kong finish would be nice if I made it again. I have some lining fabric that I bought ages ago that I might use - if you search lining fabric on the internet it should bring up the kind of thing you're looking for - definitely something that wont 'stick' - hope that helps x
Just love all those fabrics, just gorgeous. I want to make the coat, but can you tell me what seams you did so the wadding does not show. Or did you bind them on the inside. Love the marnie too Gwen
Is it just me or is that white and brown "animal" print actually letters? I think I saw the word "joy" along with other letters. Tell me it's not a one way design. I think your plans are lovely.
They are definitely an investment. I suppose with the latest technology and 224 bespoke components that costs some money. Totally understand that people may not want to spend their pennies on one but I can only recommend 😘
Love your ambition, and your fabric choices! Can’t wait to see the finished projects!
Well I think the Luna pajamas sound so nice and simple.
And I love your fabrics in general
I made the Kaya this week, as per inspiration from your pinafore video 😃 I am so pleased with it! I didn’t line and bias bound the arms and neck. Sewed up in a couple of hours 😃 used a quilted thick jersey. Love all your plans 😍
That coat is fab!
Love the haircut and your channel. Can't wait for the next post. Great job!

Super thanks Ruan. Have a lovely weekend with the girls. xx
Thank you ☺️
❤❤❤ Enjoy the lakes! Miss that place! ❤❤❤
Thank you ☺️
Cool coat!!!
Thank you love all your plans
I’d go with brass poppers on that Sherpa fabric. You’ve given yourself a lot to do.
Yes brass would look nice!
The Vali is going to be gorgeus 🎉
So glad you’ve bounced back, love your vlogs. You give me lots of inspiration. ❤️
I'm so glad! Big thanks ☺️
Good luck with all your plans & particularly love the Giselle coat, it will great on you. Love the top you had on.❤
Your trip with the girls sounds lovely and relaxing. I love the French terry, it's a gorgeous green that suits you very well.
Thank you so much! x
Lots of great plans - I love the fibre mood coat. I think I could spend a lifetime in it.😎❤
You and me both!
Love that fabric, a perfect match for that top 🤩
Lots of lovely patterns and fabric, thanks for sharing Ruan. Have a lovely weekend away. 🧶🌈🍓💙

I am loving all of your patterns and fabric choices! I’m inspired to make some things for myself as well! Can’t wait to see your makes! Happy sewing 🧵

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your kind words x
I have made up the Luna pyjamas in double cotton gauze and they are super comfy and soft to sleep in.
Oooooh. Love double gauze!
Ruan, if you’re worried about the closet core sweatsuit being”to green”, maybe you could do the top stitching in a contrast color🤔.
Hello Ruan. For the pink rib knit maybe make pajamas with a t-shirt with the pants instead of the wrap top.
Yes maybe. I quite like the idea of it being a loungewear set too 🤔
All selections of pattern & fabric are excellent. Actually can’t wait to see the Andy in that Sherpa. Love the Sherpa. The quilted coat is just gorgeous
Thank you. I’m not looking forward to all the fluff when sewing it up though 🤣
I have faith in you Ruan, you can do it! 😘
😘
Love your Giselle coat, you will look fabulous! Off to look at the Andi jacket pattern. Thank you for the inspiration. 😊

I can see you in the Giselle! 😍
I can’t wait to see your makes, the valli dress I knew straight away you’d use the Maggie for that it’s going to be amazing!
Thanks honey. The fabric and pattern are out of my comfort zone but I’m so excited to make it. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼
That coat will be lovely and warm 🥰
I think so too!
Good luck with your projects 😊
