    Hebrews 11
    6. And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

And this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life. And this life is in his son. He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life....whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine do not receive him into your house nor greet him, for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.....

  • @BrotherJasonLove

Does not having mechanical instruments in service save us? Does not allowing women to preach in service save us? Does how we administer the Lord's supper save us? No, the Blood of Christ saves us. Our Faith in Christ will bare the fruit of obedience to the word of God. We know that the Bible speaks on the various topics I have listed, sometimes clearer than others and we use necessary inference when it is needed. We truly try to follow the word of God as close as possible, because of the Faith we have in Christ. Can we be wrong? Of course we can. Can our "inference" be mistaken? Without a doubt. We must stay humble and not allow our traditions or culture to cloud Biblical truth. The church isn't a building or sign, it is a body of faithful believers.

I believe Eph 4:1-6 delineates the seven absolutely critical doctrines on which we must agree and upon which we are united in one fellowship.

That's only correct if we rightly divide the word of truth!
Jesus's ministry was to the Jews only, and he sent the early apostles out to the Jews only also! (ref.
      Matthew 15:24; Matthew 10:5-6)
Acts 2: 38 is dealing with the early Church (Jews only).
They were forgiven for their sins and received the Holy Ghost by "water baptism.
      Acts 2:38 kjv reads,
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Now Paul who is the True apostle for Today's Church (ref. Romans 11:13), tells us that we are saved and receive the Holy Ghost different from the way that the early Church (Jews) received it!
      Ephesians 1:13 kjv, which says;
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye "heard"the word of truth, the gospel of your "salvation":in whom also after that ye "believed,"ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise!
The Gospel Paul is referring to is found in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4kjv
It makes sense when we rightly divide the Word of God and understand dispensations of the Bible.
      If not, it causes confusion!
The point i'm trying to make is that Mark 16:15-16 does not apply to today's church age!
We receive the Holy Spirit / salvation by trusting in the Blood, not water baptism!

Nor did they (Apostles) teach against them. Jesus said worship in spirit and in truth, that is all. There was never a commandment from Jesus against the use of instruments.
At 10:59 BJ Clarke makes my point. God didn't command the use, nor did He command don't use them.
Why don't we read them being used in the New Testament? Because God doesn't care. There is God's sovereign will, and the free will that He has bestowed on man.
BJ asking why we don't use animal sacrifice in the New Testament? That is because Christ was sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins and not for atonement. This is a position in an argument that does not fit or make sense.
Acts 2: 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread. Notice they were breaking bread which symbolizes the Lord's Supper. The proof is the words that follow. they were taking their [ax]meals together with gladness and [ay]sincerity of heart, This plainly shows that they were talking the Lord's Supper every day and they were eating their normal meals together.
If you seek the pattern of worship, and being the Early Church, then you must follow the Hebrew Calendar since that is what the Apostles would have taught. That would have been the only one authorized.
The use of instruments would not been available since the Early church was made up of the poor.
Using Naaman as an example. It doesn't fit.
Finally, Mike said it best when he quoted Matthew 28. 20 teaching them to [h]follow all that I commanded you; Jesus never commanded not to use instruments, nor did He command not to use them.

@joerhoden4919 Richard, i am already saved, but not by the works gospel Mike and BJ teach. A works gospel saves no one today.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel that now saves. Paul called it "my gospel" because it was part of the revelation of the mystery that Jesus gave to him for us. Faith in Paul's gospel saves us (Romans 1:16).
Jesus and the twelve teached a different gospel that was for the nation of Israel. If you are trusting in whatever acts you have done instead of trusting in the work that Jesus did, you are still lost. Please trust solely in the work of the cross.
