I'm tired of hearing how Kelly had a bare cupboard 3 years ago. No one can say Kelly gets the most out of his players. This team just can't execute the basics, and frankly, some of the play calling is infuriating. The defense is miserable - poor communication time after time. They can't play zone, and when they go to man aren't much better. Given the entire off season insisting that Harold Perkins would be a great middle LB showed me that Kelly is a moron. In time he will be fired, leaving with half the treasury. I've followed this team for 65 years and can't remember being this disgusted. There were years where we were just outmanned, but played smart and hard for 60 minutes each game. Some of those losing teams in the '70s played well but were outmanned - nothing wrong with that. It was easier following those teams. We are 3 years away from championship play, I'm afraid.
LSU had 92 plays and scored 16 points. Florida had the ball 18 minutes and scored 27 points. The problems are deep and troubling right now. Not to mention LSU is soft
Since Kelly got here with his little strength and conditioning coach they have been getting weaker and less competitive...Kelly and his crew needs to go now, he doesn't care

Yall mentioned the defense taking a step forward this season which was true and nice to see up until half-time of the A&M game, but they've taken 2 steps backward for the rest of the season since which is most concerning
They are not playing as a team/ not playing their positions/ out of position/ bad angles/ bad communication/ poor reads/ how do you miss blocking a player right in front of you- just stand there
You lost to an up and coming Gators in the Swamp. Not the end of the world. Lagway going to be a star on Sundays. And the rest of the Gators are young, hungry and talented.
Play calling is somewhat of an issue. Most of Nuss passes over the past few games were boundary passes. How about some quick hitting slants. You have great group of tightends. Why not utilize them more.
While I believe in the defensive staff's recruiting abilities, I have real concerns about the offensive side. I'm particularly worried about Sloan as the Offensive Coordinator. Brian Kelly's recent comment about young inexperienced coaches/coordinators make suggestions rather than decisions raises red flags. This indicates a lack of confidence and experience, requiring Kelly to be very hands-on and supportive, which he may have realized too late. Promoting Sloan to OC with such immense responsibility might have been a mistake, potentially impacting his confidence. Additionally, despite the promising 2025 recruiting class, the lack of a stellar WR and the loss of a top in-state OL to Ole Miss are concerning. It's perplexing how discussions about personnel can occur without addressing recruiting. The previous two classes, while good, weren't great. LSU needs to stack elite classes (like top 3) which has NEVER been done at LSU to be that elite, similar to Georgia's recent success. Notice I didn’t say Alabama because I am not sure we have that pull and cachet to replicate their success, yet.
That was a Dennis Allen type loss. That's a really bad sign for the program going forward. Supposed to be an all star coaching staff but they're not looking like it right now. Plus teams like Tulane look like they have way better rosters than LSU's.
People complained about Moffit at the end of Orgerons tenure. Stop blaming strength and conditioning. They had 92 plays double what Florida had. Also had double the time of possession and only came up with 13 points. It's not even a matter of getting creative. Although that's still an issue. They don't attack the middle of the field once they get into the opposing teams side of the field.
