Before the US closed its US biggest military bases in the Philippines in 1998, China was not a minute disturbance in SCS because of American military presence in the WPS, SCS thru their military bases and usual huge aircrafts routine patrol in these areas. After 1992, hell broke loose. US ignored the SCS, WPS and punished the Philippines for non-renewal of their bases agreements. Now, the US realized it was primarily their fault for allowing China to control SCS and worst, relicated their manufacturing industries and factories to the China, including computer. That's how China plays. While the US became stupid with their internal democracy full of wokeness.
