For mid levels (around base 70s): If you have the fight down pretty well and want xp, make sure to prioritize killing the minions. at base 70s I'm getting 87-88k xp an hour by prioritizing minions as you can 1 tick them with the bone mace, 80 xp per kill. He will spawn them multiple times throughout the fight and it really adds up. It will also save you food if you have low def and get chipped down by the minions if you let them linger. Prayer flicking really conserves prayer pots. I don't have chivalry yet so I dont even bother with the accuracy and strength prayers. I just prayer flick and use maybe 1 dose of prayer pot per 2 kills. Initiate/Prosthelyte helps a lot. with full inventory of sharks and 2 super combat pots I can get up to 20 kills per trip
No way. It would be botted to all hell if it was F2P. The drop table is really good for early game and as easy as it is. Consistent gp, good supplies, and insanely good combat xp. That is not something a F2P boss could give imo.
I have a f2p HCIM and just no, I only want an ice giant boss equivalent . I voted no years ago on that golem mace being on par with rune weapons outside of golems. Takes away the prestige of smithing rune weapons.

To which it still wouldn't be great for bots making money. Even if you make it 10x less or 500xp/350xp and make the non member drop rate double or triple the 1/33 it still wouldn't help
For everyone thats ranging, when you go to kill the little rats and you're using the rat bow, once you see the xp drop SPAM click the other rats and you can kill all the rats in like 2 or 3 ticks
Thats for all of the bone weapons! The mace and staff also make you attack every 1 tick as long as you attack the little rats one after the other, and then your next attack on the boss can be with 1 tick as well! Happy rat hunting 😁

This is the first real boss I’ve ever done, I’m mainly a skilled with around 1900 total lvl but doing this boss has me addicted. Only at like 20kc but man I want that pet and the fight keeps me engaged.
Guys and girls, there is no need to worry about this boss at all, i afk this boss at work, with 85-90 ish melee stats (92 hp), im gone for about 1 min and the fight i still going(low hp at that point tho), the main dmg dealer at this boss is the falling rocksi which is 12-22 dmg ish, i wear d boots, dharoks body, veracs skirt, myth cape (for crush bonus), dragon defender, neitiznot helm, avas blessing, amulet of fury and bone mace( ironman btw) i have now done 260 kc(in solo) and this works for me, although afk means more ressource usage. The reason i mainly do melee is scurrius sometimes switches position meaning i follow and alot of the times avoid the falling ceiling while afking, and praying melee. For new players it might seem intimidating, there is no reason too, as the boss literally is made for intro to endgame pvm, and he is doing no damage compared to other bosses. Edit: The boss is made to learn prayer flicking, movement and such, its a great way to start off as is advertised by jagex, the more you learn the less ressources you use. Also you can eat from the same pile as scurrius eats from for full hp, with a 10 minute cooldown.
Phenomenal boss. It's no raids 4, but if you recruit a new friend, they'll learn basic boss raid mechanics without the risk of endgame PvM chewing then spitting out hard.
It's probably the staff, since this boss has a bit lower magic defense than the other two styles and the max hit is way higher than what you'd usually get for simple chaos runes
Do you really need to Protect from range? With 95 def he doesn’t hit with decent gear (ranged attack) Especially with full HP regen every 10 minutes from the pile of cheese, who cares about 7 HP every other Kc???
Bit of a noob question but how do you have the blue tile marked showing the tile where your character 'actually' currently is as well as the white one where you click?
It will help you learn the gauntlet a little bit if you don’t already know how to use f keys to switch between your inventory and prayer, but if you already know how to do that then it probably won’t help you much with learning the gauntlet.
I got the pet at kc 16 i think i was one of the first people in the world to get it when i was walking around yesterday i was treated like a celebrity every other person was asking me about it lol
"The player that does the most damage will receive a roll for the pet. This includes solo kills." Drop rate listed on the wiki as "Very Rare," but for comparison Mole drops its pet at a rate of 1/3000. 80 kc is (probably) nowhere near rate.
i think the issue with this boss is the loot, sure ppl can say its good exp but nmz will always be used more bcuz its afk. The pet is the only use this boss has imo. if u want gold, ur better off doing barrows. i understand its for mechanical lessons but it should drop something that makes the lower lvl players want to fight it. I'm assuming that u lose gold/trip bcuz the drops that u will get and supplies you use which can be a turn off from pvm imo. Like people dont even kill sarachnis and he atleast drops a usable item as cudgel for ironmen, ironmen i think have no reason to ever fight this boss besides the pet.
....it's an entry level boss man. The people killing it don't need 500k+gp/hr, they need an introduction to mechanics and good xp rates before doing most of the quests to make NMZ worth it. Relax.
Worst update of 2024 and so glad I'm quitting ahead of the curve before the game becomes fully tainted. Jagex team is corrupt and I'm now taking my talents to Fortnite :)

This boss is just so awesome for mid level accounts! I'm really enjoying it on my iron man, and i even managed to the pet at 66kc :D

I said this in your loot from Scurrius video, with the Lightbearer, it makes the crystal halberd a viable spec weapon, especially for 3x3 bosses

If you have the D hally unlocked it's a huge help with the spec that deals massive damage to anything that takes up at least 2 tiles.

All 3 are good bro, use whichever combat style you want. This boss is an alternative to nightmare zone very cheap way to train magic

Yes. You can only use the weapons created from the scurrius spine on rats, but the rat bone mace is better than a rune scim against him

Best thing to do is go in. I am learning corrupted gauntlet right now but I have around 25 kc regular. This content will not help ya with cg at all.
