Just found your channel and enjoyed this first episode. I’ll def go back to some of your earlier posts to see if/how are reading tastes align. My favorite of 2024 was All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker. I am also a huge SA Crosby fan and hear that he has a 2025 release.
First time seeing a video/your channel …simply love it. Your choice of books, the way you describe them (not too much but enough to peek interest), your voice! I am definitely going to check out more videos and will likely subscribe if this video is any indication of your style.❤
You are sounding better, but keep resting til you’re completely recovered❤️ I can’t pick a number one favorite, but tied for fiction favorites are Bright Young Women, Martyr!, Table for Two coupled with a reread of Rules of Civility, The Goldfinch, Brideshead Revisited, Never Let Me Go and New York. I loved all equally😊. Amor Towles is definitely one of my very favorite authors, an auto buy for me with no hesitation. If he writes it, I’ll read it.
I really love The Frozen River. The timing of it had a lot to do with it too. I had JUST done some genealogy stuff and found an ancestor who is in the historical record for this time period. He fought with George Washington. True. So it felt personal, right down to the large bible Martha was gifted to record the family history - as I have A family one that is 150 years old. Kristen Hannah is never short on words for sure, but it never stops me from being a fan. The Women is another memorable offering from her.
Oh wow! What a great tie in to this book. I really wish I could figure out how to do the research. That is so cool to know. And yes, the Bible and her notes really resonated with me. I lost our family bible in Katrina. Could kick myself for not grabbing it. And yes, The Women is quite something. I’m grateful for her books. I may not like the first titles as much but she’s still a solid writer for sure.
Looks like you're getting back to feeling more like yourself! A few favorites of mine this year were: The Frozen River, The Midnight Library, Northern Spy, Secrets of a Charmed Life and When Stars Are Scattered- graphic novel. I loved hearing about your reading year in 2024!
Love S A Cosby. You should also try Blacktop Wasteland.

Good to have you back! Happy new year! 💫🍀
I haven't read The Covenant of Water, but I have read Cutting for Stone. I highly recommend. It took me a long time to read, but well worth the time.
Happy to hear you at feeling better!
Loved The Lincoln Highway.
It really is quite a story. I’m glad I found that author.
I am so glad you are feeling better 🌸🌸
Conclave sounds interesting 😉

The Women and The Covenant of Water are high on my TBR. Many people have recommended The Briar Club to me. Great list! 😊💙
I am a mood reader and I don’t make TBR’s. I read a lot of romance books which is my favorite genre. I am reading a really good book right now.
Loved Garlic and the Vampire also looking forward to reading The Reformatory. Garlic and The Witch was good also.
I’m glad you’re both feeling better. Razorblade Tears was so good and intense! I’m hoping to watch Conclave soon.
The book of Conclave is better than the movie
