The crazy thing is, a lot of Black South Africans prefer to be buried in the countryside where they grew up in the areas where their ethnic group predominates. So, when you're driving from the Western Cape to the Eastern Cape, you'll see minibus taxis, full of Xhosa people, with cargo trailers hitched behind them. Sometimes, people will transport their deceased family members back to their home towns in those trailers, since it's cheaper than hiring a hearse service.
